Radiation therapy is a kind of treatment method that uses various radiations, such as X-rays,gamma rays, proton rays, and heavy ion rays,to directly irradiate cancerous tumors,so that the growth of cancerous cells is inhibited, damaged, tumors degenerate, atrophy, and die. With the rapid development of radiotherapy technology, from the initial general radiotherapy to more accurate conformal radiation therapy(CRT)and intensity modulated radiation therapy(IMRT),it has been relatively Widely used Stereotactic Radiosurgery(SRS).Due to the higher requirements put forward by the refinement of radiotherapy technology, higher requirements have also been put forward for the quality assurance work of radiation therapy. The International Commission on Radiation Units & Measurements(ICRU)reported in Report 24 that a 5% dose difference will cause a change in tumor control rate. One of the difficulties in radiation therapy is to ensure that the tumor can receive accurate Prescription dose. The main reason for the difference between the actual dose received by the tumor target area and the planned prescribed dose is the level of plan execution and machine operation. In order to ensure the safety of radiotherapy, strict quality assurance(QA)work on radiotherapy planning and radiotherapy equipment is necessary.Purpose of this research project To explore the application of EDose software based on EPID in dose verification of cone-plan.Methods: Two-dimensional dose verification and point dose verification were performed on 12 cone-palns using the EPID that comes from the Trilogy accelerator of Varian company and EDose software,RAROR Chamber of German IBA company, and the matching DOSE1 dosimeter and RW-3 solid water.Record and analyze the verification results of absolute dose ? pass rate under different standards when using EDose software and the point dose when using ionization chamber. Results:When using ?(3% / 3 mm)?(3% / 2 mm)?(2% / 2 mm)standards, the absolute dose ? pass rates verified by EDose software were(99.59% ± 0.33%)?(96.96 % ± 1.27%)?(95.48% ± 1.37%);the deviation of absolute dose measured by the ionization chamber at the isocenter is-1.4% ± 0.51%,and the maximum deviation is-1.82%.The verification results of both verification methods meet the requirements of clinical treatment. Conclusion: The EDose software based on the EPID can be used for dose verification of cone-plan,which is more convenient to operate and saves department costs.
