Research On User Participation Behavior In Online Health Community Based On Social Support Theory

With the popularization of information technology,the internet has entered thousands of households,and the use of online communities has become a new fashion for people's online life.More and more people can participate in topic discussions in cyberspace anytime and anywhere.They can get the information they need,and engage in emotional interaction with other netizens.The online health community is a new attempt of the online community in the field of medical health.The online health community has developed rapidly in recent years,it can meet various health service needs of users anytime and anywhere,it can effectively reduce the cost of medical services and enhance the efficiency of medical resource allocation.In addition to provide basic functions such as medical and health information,the online health community also provides an Internet channel for users to supplement when real-life social support needs are not met.Compared with the social support in real life,due to the anonymity and convenience of the online health community,users can stay away from discrimination and prejudice,break the yoke of the soul,and boldly communicate their conditions,social support efficiency and effectiveness have been improved.Users in the online health community are an important component of the community,and user participation is related to the long-term development of the online health community.The online health community improves the existing services around the user's social support needs,thereby attracting users to participate in community discussions and achieve the stable development of the community goal,which is the logical starting point and premise of this research.For online health community managers,their management goal is to use social support services to attract users to participate,and then achieve sustainable community development.For online health community users,the goal of their behavior is to participate in the health community and get more social support.Therefore,the research goal of this paper is to fully understand the characteristics of online health community users' participation behaviors,to clarify the types of social support provided by online health communities,and the relationship between social support and user participation behaviors.In order to provide suggestions and references for online health community service providers to achieve management goals,and users to achieve behavior goals.The research process of this article is mainly as follows: Taking the posts of users in two online health communities of Sweet Home Community and Baibai Hand in Hand Community as the research objects.Then use the text analysis of the posting and reply content,and classified statistics on the types of social support,explored the basic components of online health community social support.Finally,we use correlation analysis to analyze the impact of online health community social support on user participation behavior.Three conclusions were obtained through the research,the rules of user participation behavior,the composition of social support,and the impact of social support on user participation behavior.In terms of user participation behavior,online health community users are generally active,but the monthly posting volume and reply volume fluctuate greatly;the user participation behavior and post life cycle are in accordance with the power law distribution,and the posting and replying time are more consistent with the user's normal life and rest.In terms of the composition of social support in the online health community,there is a wealth of social support supply and demand among users in the online health community.The largest supply and demand is in the category of seeking guidance and advice in information support.The second place is emotional support.In the supply and demand of emotional support,there is more supply and demand for seeking support and encouragement.The proportion of accompanying and tangible support in the online health community is relatively low.In terms of the impact of social support on user participation,online health community emotional support,information support,and companionship support have a positive effect on user participation in the two communities.The tangible support of the Sweet Home Community does not promote user participation.Hand in hand community Tangible support can promote user participation.
