| Objective: Obstructive sleep apnea(OSA)and plasma homocysteine(Hcy)are both risk factors for cardiovascular disease, and they have a common mechanism of action in the atherogenic process It is reasonable to guess that there is a synergistic effect between the two on cardiovascular damage,so we will combine polysomnography(PSG),Hcy,ambulatory blood pressure monitoring(ABPM),cardiovascular risk assessment, analyze OSA,Relationship between HHcy and blood pressure and cardiovascular risk. Methods: Patients who were admitted to the People’s Hospital of Xinjiang Autonomous Region from Jan.to Dec.2010 and perfected PSG,Hcy,ABPP,and cardiovascular disease risk assessment were compared using the non-parametric test among the four groups.Analyze the impact of OSA and HHcy on blood pressure levels, and logistic regression analysis of the risk of OSA and HHcy leading to high risk of cardiovascular disease. Results: Patients with OSA combined with HHcy had higher 24 hMSP,24hMDP,dMSP,dMDP,and 24 hMAP than those in the control group. After analysis of factorial design, analysis of variance found that in female patients, the effects of OSA and HHcy on the levels of 24 hMDP,dMDP,and 24 hMAP were not evaluated.Seeing the interaction,HHcy exerts a main effect, and logistic regression suggests that after adjusting for age and gender, the risk of high risk of cardiovascular disease caused by OSA combined with HHcy is higher than that of single OSA and HHcy status. Conclusion: Patients with OSA and HHcy have higher blood pressure levels, but there is no interaction between the effects of OSA and HHcy on blood pressure.Among female patients, the effect of HHcy on blood pressure is the main effect;patients with OSA and HHcy have a higher risk of cardiovascular disease.OSA and HHcy may have a synergistic effect on the occurrence of cardiovascular disease. |
