Objective:To explore the efficacy of folic acid in the treatment of hyperhomocysteinemia(HHcy)in ischemic stroke(IS)patients with TT genotype and CC genotype,and to find a suitable folic acid treatment plan for such patients.Methods:Finished the MTHFR gene detection in the crowd with ischemic stroke accompanied by HHcy,41 patients with TT genotype and 40 with CC genotype were selected.The two groups of patients were randomly divided into a 5.0 mg folic acid group and a 0.8 mg folic acid group according to the time period of admission to the hospital,and the blood Hcy was rechecked at 4weeks and 3 months after folic acid treatment.Use SPSS23.0 system for statistical analysis.Results:Patients with TT genotype and CC genotype had statistically significant differences in initial Hcy,platelet count,HDL,modified rankin scale,stroke infarction site,and TOAST classification.At 4 weeks of treatment,the blood Hcy in the TT 5.0 mg folic acid group was lower than that in the TT 0.8 mg folic acid group(P<0.05),there was no statistically significant difference in the blood Hcy between the two dose CC groups;The pairwise comparison of blood Hcy between the two groups of genotype patients at each time point was statistically significant.The decrease in blood Hcy in the TT 5.0 mg folic acid group was greater than that in the CC 5.0 mg folic acid group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant decrease in blood Hcy between the two genotypes after 0.8mg folic acid treatment.At 3 months of treatment,there was no significant difference between the two doses of folic acid in the treatment of HHcy.Conclusion:The T allele may affect platelet count,high-density lipoprotein,modified rankin scale,infarct site,and TOAST classification by affecting blood Hcy.For patients with TT genotype and ischemic stroke accompanied by HHcy,treatment of HHcy with 5.0mg of folic acid within 4 weeks can obtain better therapeutic effect and faster decline rate,0.8mg of folic acid is a suitable effective dose for maintenance treatment after 3 months.0.8mg folic acid is an effectivedose for HHcy in ischemic stroke patients with CC genotype.Hcy is associated with high density lipoprotein and platelet count.
