Objective:To study the diagnostic value and difference of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose(18F-FDG)and 11C-choline(11C-CHO)positron emission tomography/computed tomography?PET/CT?in single lung space occupying lesion.Methods:24 patients with lung space occupying were imaged with 18F-FDG and 11C-CHO PET/CT respectively. The maximum standard uptake value?SUVmax?was calculated.SUVmax?2.5 was positive. The final diagnosis was based on pathological results or follow-up more than one year. The diagnostic value and consistency of the two methods were compared. The SUVmax and the ratio of tumor to non-tumor tissue?T/NT?of the two imaging agents in benign and malignant lesion were calculated and statistical analysis. Results:Among the 24 patients with pulmonary space occupying,13 cases of lung cancer and 11 cases of benign pulmonary lesion were diagnosed by pathological or clinical follow-up.17 cases were diagnosed by 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging and 21 cases were diagnosed by 11C-CHO PET/CT.The accuracy?sensitivity and specificity of 18F-FDG PET/CT respectively was70.8%?84.6%?and 54.5%.The other was 87.5%?84.6%and 90.9%.The SUVmax and T/NT with malignant lesion were higher than those benign lesion in both 18F-FDG and11C-CHO?P<0.05?,and the SUVmax and T/NT of 18F-FDG PET/CT in 13 patients with lung cancer were higher than 11C-CHO?P<0.05?.In malignant pulmonary lesion, the SUVmax and T/NT in 11C-CHO PET/CT increased with the increase of 18F-FDG,and showing a positive correlation?P<0.05?.Conclusion 11C-CHO PET/CT imaging and18F-FDG PET/CT imaging have clinical value in diagnosis of lung occupying and they have moderat consistency. The SUVmax and T/NT of 18F-FDG PET/CT in lung cancer were higher than 11C-CHO,and there was a positive correlation between them. But there was no correlation in benign lesion.
