Objective:Pro-kin balance test system was used to evaluate the balance function of adolescent scoliosis(AS)patients, quantitatively evaluate the balance function of AS patients, compare the difference of balance function between AS patients and healthy adolescents, and compare the difference of balance function indexes of lower limbs measured by convex and concave sides of AS patients,so as to judge the scoliosis of AS patients.Whether there is correlation between angle and balance function index can provide objective basis and dynamic monitoring index for guiding balance function training of AS patients.Methods:(1)Twenty-one AS patients who met the inclusion criteria were selected as AS group. The spine panoramic films were taken. The spine specialist physical examination and Cobb angle measurement were carried out by experienced rehabilitation physicians and therapists.Twenty-one healthy adolescent volunteers matched with AS group in age,sex and life background were recruited into the control group(2)Pro-kin balance test system(model PK254)was selected as the evaluation instrument to evaluate the static and dynamic balance function. Two groups of subjects were evaluated by static stability evaluation, proprioceptive pre-evaluation,multi-axis ontology evaluation, stability limit and other test modules.Specific evaluation indicators were Romberg ratio((area ratio of open and close eye center of gravity swing, length ratio of open and close eye center of gravity swing trajectory),Average Track Error(ATE%),front and rear axes, left and right axes, stability index(SI),stability limit(LOS),etc.(3)SPSS20.0 software was used to analyze all the datas. The measurement data conformed to normal distribution expressed as mean plus minus standard deviation(x±s),while those not conformed to normal distribution expressed as median plus minus(M ± Q)quartile.Independent sample t test was used to test the data indicators of AS group and control group and the same group indicators of AS group conformed to normal distribution, while non-parametric test was used to test the data indicators of AS group and control group,Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between Cobb angle and balance function index,P<0.05 was significant difference.Results:(1)The Romberg rate of static and dynamic balance function index(area ratio of open and close eye center of gravity swing, length ratio of open and close eye centerof gravity swing trajectory),ATE%,anterior and posterior axis SI,left and right axis SI,circumference SI of AS group were higher than those of healthy adolescents, there was significant difference(P<0.05);LOS of balance function index of AS patients had no significant difference with healthy adolescents(P>0.05).(2)There were significant differences in ATE,SI of anterior and posterior axes,SI of left and right axes and SI of circumference between convex and concave sides of lateral bending line and lower limbs in AS group(P<0.05).(3)The correlation analysis of Cobb angle with static and dynamic balance function indexes in AS group:Cobb angle and Romberg ratio(area ratio of swing center of gravity, track length ratio of swing center of gravity),ATE%,anterior and posterior axis SI,had statistical significance(P<0.05);Cobb angle and left and right axis, circumference SI and LOS index had no statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusion:(1)There are differences in static and dynamic balance function between AS patients and healthy adolescents. The balance function of AS patients is worse than that of healthy adolescents.(2)In AS patients, the static and dynamic balance function of the lower limbs in the convex side of the curve line was lower than that in the concave side, and the balance function of the lower limbs in the concave side was worse than that in the convex side.(3)The Romberg rate, average track error, stability index of anterior and posterior axes in static and dynamic equilibrium of AS patients were related to the angle of Cobb, but the stability index of left and right, circumferential stability system and stability limit were not related to the angle of Cobb.
