Investigation On The Incidence Of Occupational Diseases In Wuxi,2013 To 2017

Objective:Based on the analysis of the incidence of occupational diseases in the past five years and the present situation and characteristics of occupational diseases in Wuxi,a scientific basis for the formulation,prevention and control of occupational diseases is provided.Methods:To analyze the data of newly diagnosed occupational diseases collected by occupational health supervision institutions in Wuxi from 2013 to 2017 and the statistic of the type of occupational diseases,regional distribution,industry distribution,the economic nature of the employer and professional length of service.Results:From 2013 to 2017,there were a total of 8 categories and 1065 cases of new occupational diseases.The top three occupational diseases were 842 pneumoconiosis cases,59 occupational skin disease cases,and 38 occupational eye diseases cases,accounting for 89.01%of the total number of new occupational diseases occurred.Additionally,there were 38 occupational chemical poisoning cases and the acute occupational poisoning and chronic chemical poisoning accounts for 50%each.The new cases of occupational diseases were mainly distributed in Jiangyin(452 cases),Yixing(149 cases),Xishan District(293 cases)and Xinwu District(76 cases),accounting for 91.08%of the total number of new occupational diseases,of which Xishan District and Xinwu District were mainly electrowelder pneumoconiosis.The distribution of economic types is dominated by the private economy and the collective economy,accounting for 51.83%and 35.31%respectively.The size distribution of enterprises is mainly small and medium-sized,with 128 cases and 792 cases respectively,accounting for 90.48%of the total number of new occupational diseases.The number of new occupational cases in Wuxi is mainly in mining and manufacturing,accounting for 98.69%.The overall trend of new occupational diseases in Wuxi has been fluctuating,and the number of new cases per year has stabilized at about 185 in the past five years,except for 2013 and 2015.Conclusion:The new occupational diseases in Wuxi are mainly pneumoconiosis,occupational skin diseases,occupational oculopathy,occupational chemical poisoning and occupational otolaryngology and oral diseases.The incidence of pneumoconiosis has regional characteristics,and the private economy,collective economy,and small and medium-sized enterprises are the key prevention and control enterprises.Nonmetallic mining separation industry,motorcycle parts and accessories manufacturing and manufacturing industry are the serious occupational disease hazard industry,and the key industry to prevent and cure occupational diseases.
