Objective:This study investigated the visual development status of preschool children in the whole area of Gusu district(from June to 4 years old)to understand the visual development status of preschool children in the area,so as to further take measures to promote the healthy development of preschool children's vision.Subjects and methods:Visual screening was performed for children living in the Gusu area by using a cluster sampling method.Child care physicians who had received visual screening training and passed the test used SureSight for refractive and ocular screening.The prevalence rates of myopia,farsightedness and astigmatism were compared between different age groups,different genders and different years by chi-square and variance analysis.Results:1?2017 Gusu district preschool children boy right,his left eye myopia prevalence was 0.19%,0.14%,right and left eye myopia prevalence of the girls were 0.12%,0.08%,?2=0.011,P=0.915.There was no statistically significant difference.2?2017 Gusu district preschool children boy right,his left eye hyperopia prevalence was 24.82%,24.81%,right and left of the girls hyperopia prevalence was 24.87%,24.90%,?2=0.008,P=0.928.There was no statistically significant difference3?2017 Gusu district preschool children boy right,his left eye astigmatism prevalence was 25.04%,25.01%,right and left eye astigmatism prevalence of the girls were 25.01%,25.02%,?2=0.003,P=0.954.There was no statistically significant difference.4?The prevalence rate of impaired vision in preschool children in the Gusu district is much higher than that of myopia.5?There was no statistical difference in myopia,far-sightedness and astigmatism between male and female in all age groups,and there was no statistical difference in myopia,far-sightedness and astigmatism between male and female in 2015-2017.Conclusions1.The abnormal refractive light of preschool children in Gusu district shows a trend of high incidence and low age,which is worthy of attention from relevant departments.2.1t was found that that poor vision of preschool children in the Gusu district is dominated by the far-sightedness and astigmatism,and the prevalence of myopia is low,however,the vision development of children is a course of the vision,which also mean that the extent of myopia will be aggravated in the course of development of vision.3.Protecting eyesight and preventing poor eyesight should start from preschool children.Health care departments should not only regularly screen the eyesight of preschool children,so that early detection of children's vision and abnormal refractive status can be timely carried out,but also adopt a variety of healthy education means to actively carry out comprehensive prevention and treatment measures to protect and promote the healthy development of the eyesight of preschool children.
