Objective: To investigate the effect of metoprolol combined with amiodarone on early recurrence of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation after radiofrequency ablation. Methods: A total of 100 patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation admitted to the Department of Cardiology,First People's Hospital of Jining City from October 2017 to May 2019 were enrolled. The patients were divided into observation group and control group by random number table(48 patients in the observation group and 52 patients in the control).Radiofrequency ablation was performed in both groups.Patients in control group were treated with conventional amiodaroneand while patients in the observation group were treated with metoprolol sustainedrelease tablets combined with amiodarone. The serum inflammatory factors [C-Reactive Protein(CRP),Interleukin-6(IL-6),Tumor Necrosis Factor-?(TNF-?)],cardiac function indicators [Left Atrium Diameter(LAD),Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction(LVEF)],concise health questionnaire(SF-36)[Physical Component Score(PCS),mental Component Score(MCS)],adverse reactions and early recurrence of the two groups were compared. Both groups were treated for 3 months.According to the recurrence within 3 months, the patients were divided into relapse group and non-relapse group, and the relationship betweenserum inflammatory factors, cardiac function indicators and early relapse was compared. Results: The early recurrence rate in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(4.2% vs 13.5%,P<0.05).CRP,IL-6,TNF-? levels and LAD values in two groups at 1month and 3 months after radiofrequency ablation showed a downward trend, and the LVEF value showed an upward trend. The difference between the observation group and the control group was statistically significant(P<0.05).The physical health score and mental health score were significantly improved in the control group and the observation group within 3 months after surgery, but there was no significant difference between two groups(P>0.05)).Conclusion : Metoprolol sustained-release tablets combined with amiodarone can reduce the early recurrence rate of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation after radiofrequency ablation, and the effect is better than that of amiodarone alone. The CRP,IL-6,TNF-? and LAD in the non-relapse group were significantly lower than those in the relapse group(P<0.05),and the LVEF level in the non-relapse group was higher than that in the relapse group(P<0.05).
