Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of "Chinese medicine spinal balance therapy" on adolescent idiopathic scoliosis,to provide new ideas and strategies for the conservative treatment of AIS,and to provide the evidence for "Chinese medicine spinal balance therapy" in the treatment of AIS.Methods 72 patients who met the criteria of case selection were randomly divided into experimental group and control group. The experimental group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine spinal balance therapy, self guided exercise twice a day(no less than 5 days per week)and spinal balance manipulation twice a week;the control group was treated with Milwaukee brace therapy, with wearing time no less than 22h every day, both groups were treated for 12 months. The severity of AIS scoliosis was evaluated by Cobb angle;the change of pulmonary function was evaluated by VC%Pred and FEV1/FVC;the change of mental health, survival treatment and satisfaction with treatment were evaluated by SRS-22 questionnaire.SPSS 26.0 statistical software is used for data statistical analysis? Results 66 patients completed a course of treatment and efficacy evaluation, and 6 patients fell off within 2 months after entering the group. The results were not included in the final statistical analysis. The general demographic data and baseline data of the two groups were comparable(P>0.05).(1)Cobb:Compared with before treatment, the change of Cobb in the experimental group was statistically significant(P<0.05);compared with the control group,it was statistically significant(P<0.05)at the evaluation time of 6 and 12 months;compared with before treatment,it was statistically significant(P<0.05)in the control group.(2)Pulmonary function:There was no significant difference in FEV1/FVC between the two groups(P>0.05).There was statistical significance in the change of VC%Pred in the experimental group before and after treatment(P<0.05),but no statistical significance in the control group before and after treatment(P>0.05);there was statistical significance in the difference between the groups after treatment(P<0.05).(3)SRS-22 questionnaire:after treatment, the test group had a positive impact on AIS patients' functional activities,pain,self-image and mental health scores, which were statistically significant compared with before treatment and control group(P<0.05);after treatment, compared with before treatment, the control group had no significant change in patients' functional activities(P>0.05),pain score improved(P<0.05),self-image and mental health score further decreased(P<0.05)Conclusion(1)Both spinal balance therapy and Milwaukee brace therapy can improve the degree of scoliosis in AIS patients to a certain extent, but the effect of spinal balance massage therapy is faster, and the improvement of scoliosis is better than Milwaukee brace therapy.(2)TCM spinal balance therapy can improve lung function to a certain extent, which is mainly reflected in increasing the level of VC%Pred, but has no significant effect on FEV1/FVC;in this study,Milwaukee brace therapy may have no significant effect on lung function.(3)The spinal balance therapy of traditional Chinese medicine has a positive effect on the improvement of AIS patients' functional activities,pain,self-image and mental health, and is superior to Milwaukee brace therapy;Milwaukee brace therapy can improve the pain of AIS patients to a certain extent, but has no significant impact on the functional activities, and may have a negative impact on patients' self-image and mental health.
