Objective: At present, the detection rate of gastric polyps in China is increasing year by year, and the etiology and pathogenesis of this disease have not been clarified yet.In view of this, the diagnosis and treatment based on syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine has attracted more and more attention. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the clinical characteristics of TCM syndromes and related factors distribution in patients with gastric polyps by retrospective study,so as to provide some basis for TCM prevention and treatment of this disease.Research methods: Firstly, the information record table of gastric polyps was established, and the data that met the inclusion criteria were included in the table, including the general information, chief complaint, symptoms, relevant auxiliary examination results, etc, and then the data were sorted out and analyzed. The frequency method was used for general data, the chi-square test was used for counting data, and SPSS23.0 software was used to explore the clinical characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine in patients with gastric polyps. Results: 1.In this study, the ratio of male to female was 1:2.73(62:169),and the average age was 52.38±11.98 years. The course of the disease is concentrated within 12 months, and the mean was 27.43±56.29 months.2.In the collected data, the ratio of HP positive to negative was 1:3.56(9:32).Higher than normal total cholesterol and triglycerides accounted for 23.53 percent and 11.76 percent, respectively; Both increased and neither increased accounted for 17.65 percent and 47.06 percent, respectively.Among other diagnoses, chronic erosive gastritis(152 cases)had the highest frequency, followed by intestinal polyps(50 cases).3.The ratio of single polyps to multiple polyps(39,22 and 77 cases with 2,3 and more polyps, respectively)was 1:1.48(1.77:1:3.50).Its maximum diameter is 0.2-0.5cm,accounting for 85.28 percent. The cases with single polyps and those with only two polyps were analyzed: the growth site was gastric fundus(79)>gastric body(73)>gastric antrum(19).APC was the main method of resection, followed by EMR.The pathological features of polyps were inflammatory(82.25 percent)>fundus glands(12.12 percent)>hyperplastic(4.33 percent)>adenomatous(1.30 percent).4.The frequency of complaints was upper abdominal pain(66)>(46)>abdominal pain(28)>abdominal distension(23)>diarrhea(22)>found gastric polyps(12)>constipation(10).The frequency of accompanying symptoms was belching(106)>acid regurgitation(68)> dry mouth = bitter mouth(61)> heartburn(53)> abdominal pain(52)> palpitation(37)> abdominal distension(34)>retrosternal discomfort=nausea and vomiting(26).5.The frequency of TCM syndromes was qi stagnation phlegm obstruction syndrome(102,44.16 percent)> dampness-heat obstruction syndrome(78,33.77 percent)>spleen deficiency with blood stasis syndrome(44,19.05 percent)>phlegm and blood stasis syndrome(7,3.03 percent). Conclusion: 1.Gastric polyposis is more common in females than in males, and most of them are between 45 and 65 years old, with an average age of 52.38±11.98 years. The HP positive rate was 21.95 percent, and the elevated lipid rate was 52.94 percent.Chronic erosive gastritis was the most, accounting for 65.80 percent. The second was intestinal polyps, accounting for 21.65 percent.2.The size is mainly 0.2-0.5cm,and multiple polyps are more common. It occurs in the fundus and body of the stomach.Inflammatory polyps are the most followed by gastric fundus and hyperplastic polyps.APC was the most common polyp treatment followed by EMR.The chief complaint was abdominal symptoms, followed by abnormal stool.Accompanying symptoms are belching acid regurgitation, dry mouth bitter mouth, followed by heartburn, abdominal pain discomfort.3.The occurrence frequency of TCM syndrome type of this disease is: qi stagnation phlegm obstruction syndrome > dampness-heat obstruction syndrome>spleen deficiency with blood stasis syndrome >phlegm stasis mutual syndrome.4.The distribution of its syndromes is correlated with the course of disease: The syndromes of qi stagnation and phlegm obstruction were mainly in patients with the disease course of 6-12 months, while the syndromes of dampness-heat stagnation and phlegm obstruction were mainly in patients with the disease course of 12-36 months and more than 36 months, respectively. The syndromes of qi stagnation and phlegm obstruction,dampness-heat stagnation and spleen deficiency with blood stasis were mainly in patients with the disease course of 12-36 months.5.The distribution of its syndromes is correlated with the types of associated diseases: The syndrome of dampness-heat obstruction of stomach was the main syndrome in patients with intestinal polyps, while qi stagnation and phlegm obstruction were the main syndrome in patients with hypertension.6.The distribution of its syndromes is correlated with the maximum polyp diameter: For those with a maximum diameter of 0.2cm,qi stagnation phlegm obstruction and dampness-heat obstruction of stomach were the main syndroms, while for those with a diameter of more than 0.6cm,dampness-heat obstruction of stomach was the main syndroms.7.The distribution of its syndromes is correlated with the treatment of multiple polyps: The main symptom of APC+APC was qi stagnation and phlegm obstruction, while the main symptom of dampness and heat obstruction was non-qi stagnation phlegm obstruction syndrome.8.The distribution of its syndromes is correlated with symptoms: If the main symptom is different from this symptom, the TCM syndrome type has different emphasis.9.There was no correlation between the distribution of syndrome types of gastric polyps and gender, age,HP,lipid profile, polyp number, growth site, single polyp management, length of hospitalization,or pathological properties.
