Objective: Study 1 used cross-sectional study to analyze the mechanism of rumination on suicide risk, the mediating effect of psychache, and the moderating effect of gratitude;Study 2 used follow-up data to further analyze the mediating role of psychache in rumination and suicide risk and the moderating role of gratitude in psychache and suicide risk. Methods:Study 1:Using the method of convenient sampling,430 college students were selected to measure Ruminative Responses Scale,Psychache scale,Suicidal Behaviors Questionnaire-Revised,The Gratitude Questionnaire-six,and 420 valid questionnaires were finally obtained.Study 2: using convenient sampling method,180 college students were selected and tested in March 2019(Time1)and November 2019(Time2)respectively on Ruminative Responses Scale,Psychache scale,Suicidal Behaviors Questionnaire-Revised,The Gratitude Questionnaire-six,and 152 valid questionnaires were finally obtained.SPSS21.0 was used to analyze the data of study 1and study 2,The statistical methods mainly included pearson correlation analysis,independent-samples t test,paired-sample t test,ANOVA,multiple regression analysis, and the PROCESS is used to analyze the mediating effect and moderating effect. Conclusion:Study 1:(1)Suicide risk has significant differences in gender, majors, grades, and no significant difference in location.(2)Rumination has significant differences in grades and majors, and no significant difference in gender,location.(3)Psychache has no significant differences in gender,majors,grades,location.(4)Gratitude has significant differences in grades, and no significant difference in in gender,location,majors.(5)Suicide risk has significant positive correlation with rumination, psychache. There was a significant positive correlation between psychache and rumination.Gratitude has significant negative correlation with rumination, psychache, suicide risk.(6)Psychache played mediating role in the relationship between rumination and suicidal risk, gratitude played a moderating role in the relationship between psychache and suicidal risk.Study 2:(1)In two periods of time, suicide risk has significant differences in gender, and no significant difference in location,majors,grades.(2)T2 rumination has significant differences in gender,grades,T1 rumination has no significant differences in gender, grades. In two periods of time, rumination has no significant differences in location,majors.(3)In two periods of time, psychache has no significant differences in gender,majors,grades,location.(4)In two periods of time, gratitude has significant differences in grades, and has no significant differences in gender,location,majors.(5)After two tests, there were statistically significant differences in T1/T2 rumination, there were no statistically significant differences in T1/T2 psychache, gratitude, suicide risk.(6)T1 suicide risk was positively correlated with T1/T2 rumination and T1/T2 psychache,T2 suicide risk was positively correlated with T1/T2 rumination and T1/T2 psychache;T1 psychache was significantly positively correlated with T1/T2 suicide risk,T2 psychache was significantly positively correlated with T1/T2 suicide risk;T1 gratitude was negatively correlated with T2 rumination,T1/T2 psychache, and T1/T2 suicide risk.T2 gratitude was negatively correlated with T2 rumination,T1/T2 psychache, and T1/T2 suicide risk.(p<0.05).(7)Cross-lag analysis shows that,T1 rumination positively predict T2 suicide risk,T1 rumination positively predict T2 psychache,T1 suicide risk positively predict T2 psychache.(8)The mediating effect of T1 psychache in the in the relationship between T1 rumination and T2 suicidal risk is not significant;T2 psychache played a mediating role in the relationship between T1 rumination and T2 suicidal risk, gratitude played a moderating role in the relationship between T2 psychache and T2 suicidal risk.Result:(1)High rumination is more likely to bring high psychache and high suicide risk, the higher the level of gratitude, the lower the risk of rumination, psychache, suicide risk.(2)Psychache played a mediating role in the relationship between rumination and suicidal risk.(3)Gratitude plays a moderating role in the relationship between psychache and suicide risk. The higher the level of gratitude can buffer the impact of psychache on suicide risk.(4)In summary, the relationship among rumination, psychological distress, suicide risk, and gratitude is a moderated mediating model.
