Objective:To explore the consistency and relevance of three scoring methods of FLAIR vascular hyperintensity(FVH)(Olindo scoring method,Lee scoring method and ASPECT modified scoring method)with the American Society of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology/Society of Interventional Radiology,(ASITN/SIR)collateral Circulation Evaluation system to evaluate cerebral collateral circulation,in the hope of providing a basis for the clinical evaluation of collateral circulation method selection for patients with ischemic stroke. Methods:A total of 325 patients with ischemic cerebrovascular disease were collected from the Department of Neurology, affiliated Hospital of Yang Zhou University. Two attending radiologists scored the Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)images of the patients with FVH,and 2 attending physicians of neuro intervention performed ASITN/SIR scores on the Digital subtraction angiography(DSA)images.Intraclass Correlation Coefficient(ICC)was used to test the consistency of FVH score and ASITN/SIR score among the two raters, and Spearman correlation coefficient was used to test the correlation between three scoring methods of FVH and ASITN/SIR scoring method. Results:The consistency analysis between the three FVH scoring methods and ASITN/SIR scoring method performed on targeted patients were as follows:Olindo method(ICC=0.960,P<0.001),Lee method(ICC=0.937,P<0.001),ASPECT modified method(ICC=0.928,P<0.001),ASITN/SIR method(ICC=0.760,P<0.001).The correlation analysis results between the three FVH methods and the ASITN/SIR method were Olindo method(rs=0.656,P<0.001),Lee method(rs=0.583,P<0.001),and modified ASPECT method(rs=0.711,P<0.001).Conclusions:The three FVH scoring methods and ASITN/SIR scoring method have high consistency between the two raters. The correlation analysis between the three FVH scoring methods and ASITN/SIR scoring method indicate that the modified ASPECT method and the ASITN/SIR method for collateral circulation classification system show the highest relevance, and therefore the modified ASPECT method is recommended for clinical practice.
