Objective:to investigate the associations between the levels of serum calcium and phosphorus and the occurrence and severity of coronary artery calcification(CAC)in young and middle-aged people. Methods:A total of 336 young and middle-aged patients with coronary artery CTA were collected from the people's Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region and the second affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 2018 to January 2020.According to the results of coronary artery calcium score, they were divided into coronary artery calcification group(n=212)and non-coronary artery calcification group(n=124).The general condition, biochemical indexes, blood calcium level, serum phosphorus level and CPP(calcium-phosphorus product)level were compared between the two groups.According to the calcification score, the coronary artery calcification group was divided into mild calcification group, moderate calcification group and severe calcification group. The levels of serum calcium, phosphorus,CPP in the three groups were compared to investigate relationship between serum calcium, serum phosphorus,CPP and the severity of coronary artery calcification. Results:in univariate analysis, the average serum calcium level of CAC group(2.32±0.09mmol/L)was higher than that of non-CAC group(2.28±0.09mmol/L),and the difference was statistically significant.the average serum phosphorus level of CAC group and non-CAC group were 1.18±0.16mmol/L and 1.18±0.15mmol/L respectively(P=0.688);CPP were 2.75±0.41mmol~2/L~2 and2.68±0.37 mmol~2/L~2 respectively(P=0.135).In binary Logistic regression analysis,Male,BMI,Hypertension,HbA1c,serum calcium and LDL-C were risk factors of CAC in young and middle-aged people, and the OR values were1.877?1.161?0.459?1.431?1.641 and 1.424respectively.In the analysis of ROC,the area under the curve of serum calcium was AUC=0.619,P<0.001 curve statistically significant.(2)according to the coronary artery calcification score, the patients in coronary artery calcification group were divided into mild calcification group(CACS=1-99AU),moderate calcification group(CACS=100-399AU)and severe calcification group(CACS?400AU).The levels of serum calcium, phosphorus and CPP were compared among the three groups.the results showed that there was no significant difference in serum calcium, phosphorus and CPP among the three groups.Conclusion:(1)the level of serum calcium is independently related to the occurrence of CAC in young and middle-aged adults, the higher the level of serum calcium, the more likely the occurrence of CAC.but there is no significant correlation between serum phosphorus level,CPP and CAC in young and middle-aged people.(2)the level of serum calcium, phosphorus and CPP were not related to the severity of CAC in young and middle-aged adults.
