Objective: To assess the value and safety of laparoscopic treatment for pediatric hepatic cystic echinococcosis. Methods: Clinical date of 102 pediatric patient(3-14 years old)tread in pediatric surgery department of the first affiliated hospital of xinjiang medical university from July 2013 to September 2018 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different operative methods, the patients were divided into the laparoscopic group(48 children treated with laparoscopic surgery)and the control group(54 children treated with traditional laparotomy). The basic information, operative time, intraoperative blood loss, anal exhaust time,VAS score 8h after surgery, postoperative hospitalization time, residual cavity infection rate, bile leakage rate, postoperative hypernatremia rate, recurrence rate were compared and analyzed.Result:There was no statistically significant different in basic information, operation time, residual cavity effusion rate, residual cavity infection rate, bile leakage rate, postoperative hypernatremia rate, recurrence rate between the two group(P ? 0.05),but there were statistically significant differences(P ? 0.05)in intraoperative blood loss, anal exhaust time,VAS score 8h after surgery, postoperative hospitalization time.conclusion: The effect of laparoscopic surgery and open surgery are similar in treatment of hepatic cystic echinococcosis in children.and, laparoscopic surgery is minimally invasive, shorter postoperative hospitalization time, clear surgical vision, quick postoperative recovery and beautiful incision. It is safe, feasible andmore acceptable to the parents of children.
