Background:The MHR,which refers to ratio of Monocytes to High Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol(HDL-C),is a new inflammatory predictor. This study intends to determine whether MHR has predictive value for heart failure by comparing the value of MHR in people with and without heart failure. Objective :Among the patients who were hospitalized in our hospital from July 2018 to July 2019,this study aims to select data from 31 of whom diagnosed as heart failure with preserved ejection fraction(EFpHF),33 of whom diagnosed as heart failure with mid—range ejection fraction(EFmrHF)and 34 of whom diagnosed as heart failure with reduced ejection fraction(EFrHF).The data from 75 healthy patients will also be selected. The data will be retrospectively recorded and statistically analyzed.Result :The MHR level in the heart failure group was 0.705(0.460,1.058),while that in the control group was 0.349(0.241,0.437).Therefore,the MHR level in the heart failure group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that the optimum critical value of MHR to predict heart failure is 0.561.The area under the curve was 86.7%(80.7%-91.4%),with moderate heart failure prediction value, predictive sensitivity was 70.10% and predictive specificity was 94.74%,which showed that the predictive value has statistical significance(Z = 13.403,P < 0.001).However,the differences of MHR level in mild, moderate and severe heart failure group showed no statistical significance(P > 0.05).Conclusion: The MHR has predictive value for heart failure.
