Clinical Characteristic Analysis Of Garrè's Osteomyelitis

Objective: Garrè's jaw osteomyelitis is a rare and unclear inflammatory disease of the maxillofacial region.It is similar to other jaw osteomyelitis in symptoms.firstly This study analysis the the clinical characteristics to provide the basis for the diagnosis of Garrè's jaw osteomyelitis;Secondly analyze the differences between Garrè's jaw osteomyelitis and Osteoradionecrosis of the jaw and Medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw to help early detection and reduce misdiagnosis;Thirdly summarize the treatment methods and prognosis of Garrè's jaw osteomyelitis,which is convenient for clinicians to give reasonable treatment.Methods: 6 cases of Garrè's jaw osteomyelitis,14 cases of Medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw and 26 cases of Osteoradionecrosis of the jaw were collected from the first affiliated hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from 2012 to 2018.The clinical manifestations,laboratory examinations,pathological examinations and imaging examinations were compared with Medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw and Osteoradionecrosis of the jaw;SPSS 22.0 software was used for statistical analysis.Results: Garrè 's jaw osteomyelitis,one of the rare diseases of the jaw,has local painless swelling,often involving the unilateral mandible and it is rare to involve bilaterally.It is more common in adolescents with an average age of 12.3years.The imaging characteristics of Garrè's jaw osteomyelitis are dense osteosclerosis with periosteal new bone formation.The pathological change of this disease is active subperiosteal osteogenesis,showing a large number of new bone and osteoblasts Of deposition.Compared with patients with Osteoradionecrosis of the jaw and Medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw,the imaging examinations and clinical manifestations were statistically significant.The cause of Garrè 's jaw osteomyelitis is related to dental infection,endocrine and trauma.Surgical adjuvant anti-inflammatory therapy is the best treatment for Garrè 's jaw osteomyelitis.Conclusion: Garrè's jaw osteomyelitis has its own characteristics,which is different from drug-induced jaw osteomyelitis and radiation jaw osteomyelitis.It can be clinically differentiated fromdrug-induced jaw osteomyelitis and radiation jaw osteomyelitis,as soon as possible Discover and make a reasonable treatment plan.
