Objectives:Cardiovascular disease(CVD)is the leading cause of death in patients with non-dialysis chronic kidney disease(CKD),Cystatin C is an independent and reliable predictor of cardiovascular events and mortality in CKD and other populations.Autonomic neuropathy is a nontraditional risk factor for CVD in CKD patients,Electrochemical skin conductance(ESC)is a simple, convenient and safe electrophysiological method that has been introduced in recent years, which can be used to evaluate autonomic nervous function. We analyzed the correlation between ESC and cystatin C in non-dialysis CKD patients, and analyzed whether cystatin C might lead to an increased risk of CVD in CKD patients by affecting autonomic nervous function. Methods:We collect the data of 176 patients with CKD who were hospitalized in the department of nephrology of the first affiliated hospital of kunming medical university from 2016 to 2017.We collet detailed medical history from the included patients, and serum cystatin C concentration was determined using latex agglutination method,ESC was measured by eZSCAN conductance analyzer, including hand ESC and Feet ESC,mean Global ESC=0.5*(Feet ESC+Hands ESC).SPSS 15.0 was used for statistical analysis.Results:1.Log(global ESC)was positively correlated with GFR(P<0.01),negatively correlated with age(P<0.01)and cystatin C(P<0.01).2.Generalized linear models were further analyzed including age, gender, history of hypertension, history of diabetes, beta blockers, smoking,GFR,BMI,and cystatin C as covariates and logs(global ESC)as dependent variables. The results showed that log(global ESC)was independently correlated with age, history of hypertension and cy statin C.Conclusions:1.In non-dialysis CKD patients, cystatin C was independently correlated with ESC,suggesting that cystatin C may lead to cardiovascular events by affecting autonomic nervous function.2.Age and history of hypertension are factors affecting ESC in patients with CKD.Age and history of hypertension should be considered in the clinical application of ESC indicators.
