This research takes the literature of sports health preservation in ancient books of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in Song,Jin and Yuan Dynasties as the main research object, through an in-depth study by using the methods of comprehensive induction and logical analysis on the literature of sports health preservation of TCM included in the ten works, which are Mixed Customs and Health Records,Health Preservation Essentials Records,Tiaoxie Category Edition,Twenty-four Qi Sitting Gong Guidance Healing Map,Dongpo’sHealth Preservation Collection,Shengji General Record,Confucians’Duties to Their Parents,Sanyuan Counsellor’s Longevity-Promoting Book,A New Book on Old-age Care for Long-lived Parents and Effective Formulae Handed Down for Generations. Finally,it comes to the conclusion that the core techniques of sports health preservation techniques in Song,Jin and Yuan Dynasties are motion,massage,Qi-circulation and mind-regulating.Motion method has the characteristics of reaching both up and down, moving both inside and outside;limbscooperating;congenital numbers,Yin and Yang corresponding to each other;moving regularly, better in the morning and evening.Massage method has the characteristics ofrubbing mainly lightly;taking the degree of heat as the measurement;disease elimination and health preservation, and autologous laws. The method of Qi-circulation has thecharacteristics of swallowing and spitting, taking breathing as the measurement;less coming in and more going out, combining Yin and Yang;and cooperating with other methods such as motion and massage. The method of mind-regulating has the characteristics of chantingmainly, making the law effective;the combination of the methods and supplement. The mechanism of removing disease and keeping in good health of four techniques,namely,motion,massage,Qi-circulation and mind-regulating,is mainly discussed in this paper. The method of motion promotes the activity of Qi and blood in the moving parts and produces Qi of Yang and heat.It can dispel Yin and the cold pathogen from the places where the active Qi and blood run.Massage method produces heat, which is attracted by the Yang energysimilarly produced by the body,so that the active Qi and blood generated by the body method flow to the massage site, which promotes the transportation of Qi and blood, rest~oring~?deficiency and eliminating pathogenic factors. As referring to Qi-circulation method,as Qienters the nose and comes out from the mouth,it can dispel the solid pathogens of the five viscera.Swallowing Qi can nourish Yin and remove fire pathogen, and holding breath can generate vitality. The method of mind-regulating can raise the mind and spirit, making the spirit corresponding with Yin and Yang, making people cherish both the body and spirit, and enjoy longevity. In the Song,Jin and Yuan Dynasties, health preservation of TC_M was_?characterized by from complex to simple, from broad to brief, merging the past and present, edited as a complete set, moving inside and outside, coherence of body and spirit, flowing of Qi and blood, promoting Yang and generating heat, acting regularly and supporting in timesequence.Modern Chinese medicine sports health preservation should learn from theenlightenment of sports health preservation of TCM in Song,Jin and Yuan Dynasties:when creating sports health-preserving techniques,we should use the four methods together, and nurture both the body and spirit;when exercising health preservation techniques,we should let nature take its course, and unify the heaven and human;when promoting sports health preservation techniques,we should improve quality and emphasize aesthetics.
