Objective:The aim of this study was to observe the filling effect of in type V molar in vitro and to analysis the marginal microleakage of four resin filling materials,these results might provide evidence for materials option in clinical operation.Methods:40 freshly extracted human molars with no caries were collected,class V cavity preparation of standard dimension were performed on the buccal surfaces and then were randomly divided into 4 groups of 10 teeth each.The cavities were filled with four different materials as following.Group A: self-adhesive flowable composite Constic;Group B: self-adhesive flowable composite Dyad Flow;Group C:Single Bond Universal+3MFiltek Z350 XT flowable composite;Group D:Single Bond Universal+3MZ350 composite.After the thermocycling(×500,5?-55?),all teeth were stained with 0.1% Rhodamine-B solution for 24 h.Then each teeth was sliced longitudinally using a low-speed diamond disk.The penetrating depth of the dye was observed under confocal laser scanning microscope.The data were analyzed by SPSS 18.0 software package.One-way ANOVA was used to analyze the significances of microleakage among four groups,P value is <0.05,was considered as significance statistically.Results: 1.The depth of dye penetration of four groups: group A(Constic)304.51±17.52?m,group B(Dyad Flow)476.45±20.09?m,group C(Filtek Z350XT)507.84±28.74?m,group D(Z350)1125.22±47.07?m.2.The depth of dye penetration in group A(Constic)was the lowest compared to that in the group filled with Dyad Flow,Filtek Z350XTandZ350.(P<0.05)3.There were no significant different in the depth of dye penetration between group B(Dyad Flow)and group C(Filtek Z350XT)P>0.05.The depth of dye penetration of group B and group C were lower than group D.Conclusions: 1.Self-adhesive flowable composite Constic and Dyad Flow,Filtek Z350 XT flowable composite,Z350 composite resin have different degrees of marginal microleakage.2.Self-adhesive flowable composite Constic have lowest depth of dye penetration.Z350 composite resin have highest depth of dye penetration.
