Painting Test For Assessing Body Image Of Patients After Breast Cancer Surgery

Body image is the individual's perception,cognition and evaluation of the structure and function of all aspects of the body.It consists of multiple dimensions such as feeling,psychology and society.The body image is relatively stable,but it is not static.It may change when it is affected by external environment such as stimulating events and social culture.Body image can affect an individual's behavior through emotion,cognition,and the like.Research at home and abroad has demonstrated that body imagery is affected by many factors,such as sociodemographic factors and disease-related factors.Postoperative patients with breast cancer are a special group of patients.Most of them have undergone mastectomy,which is the most representative of the female breast loss,which causes serious damage to the body image and relationship.At present,the research on the body image of patients after breast cancer surgery is mostly measured by self-reported questionnaire,but for some special hidden psychology,such as the unwillingness to let others know that they have cancer and have breast loss,etc.The information collected by the questionnaire is not effective.Therefore,it is necessary to use the projection test to further enrich the measurement method of the body image and relationship of patients after breast cancer surgery.However,due to the evaluation of the results of the painting test and the subjective influence of the judges,it is difficult to widely promote and apply the painting test.In view of the shortcomings of existing research,this study used a questionnaire survey and a painting test for breast cancer patients,using statistical methods to correlate the two,and exploring the painting test for assessing the body image and relationship of patients after breast cancer surgery.The situation is to assess the objectivity of the diagnosis.This study selected 138 patients after breast cancer surgery in the Department of Breast Cancer of Yunnan Cancer Hospital and some 138 patients after breast cancer surgery in Kunming Cancer Rehabilitation Association.The body image and relationship of these 138 postoperative patients with breast cancer were studied.The measurement of the scale and the painting test,including 123 people who completed the questionnaire and painting test at the same time.This study first analyzed the status and characteristics of body image and relationship in 138 postoperative patients with breast cancer,and then based on relevant literature and expert opinions,this study selected 164 related painting feature indicators for coding and operation definition,and provided examples.The judgment score of the painting feature index selects two masters who have passed the painting test training and mastered the judgment criteria of the painting feature index to judge the back-to-back.When there are differences between the two main test results,the other one is also trained and masters the judgment standard.The main test is to make a third-party judgment.According to the scores of each dimension of the questionnaire,the highest scores of 27% of the participants in each dimension were high,and the lowest score of 27% of the subjects in each dimension was low,and the paintings of high and low were The characteristic index is tested for chi-square independence and a logistic regression equation is established.The conclusion shows that:(1)The body image and relationship status of patients after breast cancer surgery are poor overall,and there are serious physical image problems.The most serious dissatisfaction with the body image is the strength and health,followed by the social condition,and the physical appearance is relatively good.(2)The body image and relationship status of patients after breast cancer surgery are significantly different among groups with different backgrounds.Due to marital status,monthly income per capita,and different surgical methods,the body image and relationship of patients after breast cancer surgery are different.(3)In the dimension of strength and health,there are statistically significant differences in the frequency of appearance of 19 painting characteristics between high-group and low-group patients;in the social barrier dimension,high-group patients have 19 items in low-group patients.There are statistically significant differences in the frequency of appearance of painting feature indicators;in the physical appearance dimension,there are statistically significant differences in the frequency of appearance of 16 painting characteristics between high-group patients and low-group patients.(4)Through the standardization process,the Logistic regression equations of the painting feature index on the high and low groups of the body image and relationship scale are established,and the explanatory power and fitting degree of each logistic regression equation are better.Among them,4 painting feature indicators can effectively predict the strength and health dimension group;7 painting feature indicators can effectively predict the social barrier dimension level;4 painting feature indicators can effectively predict the body appearance dimension high and low group.Therefore,the painting characteristics indicators in the painting test can effectively predict the body image and relationship status of patients after breast cancer surgery,and provide an effective supplement for the measurement of the scale.
