Research On The Dilemma Of Medical Social Work Department From The Perspective Of Resource Dependence

Based on the internship of the Y hospital in Wuhan,this article collects data through participatory observation and semi-structured interviews.From the perspective of resource dependence theory,after 10 months of participation in the social work department of Wuhan Y Hospital and social workers The semi-structured interview of the 7 staff members of the Ministry,the author found that the Ministry of Medical and Social Affairs played an important role in linking medical assistance funds,reconciling the contradiction between doctors and patients,providing psychological support and spiritual care for patients and their families,but also found social workers.The Ministry has an asymmetric dependence on the external environment including hospitals,foundations and governments.It relies heavily on external raw materials,information,legality and relationship resources.In terms of raw materials,the number and composition of the Ministry of Social Workers are determined by the hospital.The material venue is allocated by the hospital.The medical aid fund depends on the foundation and the civil affairs department.In terms of information,the information and access of the client depends on the medical staff;in terms of legality,the public is a prophet hospital and knows the social worker;in terms of relationship As a weak department to work with other departments,relying on Support his department.These non-equal dependence led to the lack of independence and autonomy of the Ministry of Social Industry,which also led to the three major difficulties faced by the Ministry of Social Industry: the ethical dilemma of the staff of the Ministry of Social Industry,the dilemma of the social work department and the structural dilemma.Finally,through investigation and analysis,the author suggests that the Ministry of Social Work should improve the ability of resource transformation,strengthen resource development capabilities,and develop resource control capabilities to change passive dependence and achieve equal cooperation.
