Objective: To investigate the psychological status of Fear of falling(FOF)in the elderly hospitals in Lanzhou City,to understand the current situation of fear of falls, and to explore the main influencing factors of FOF in hospitalized elderly patients,in order to develop targeted prevention programs and take effective measures. The nursing measures provide a reference basis. Methods: This study used a combination of qualitative research and quantitative research to investigate the status and influencing factors of FOF in elderly patients hospitalized in Sanjia Hospital of Lanzhou City.Qualitative interviews used semi-stru ctured interviews to investigate 9 patients who met the inclusion criteria, and investi gated the factors affecting FOF in hospitalized elderly patients. The quantitative rese arch phase passed the self-made questionnaire, revised version of the fall effect ener gy table and the simplified version of the depression scale each 500 copies. The fac e-to-face self-filling survey method was used for the survey. After the questionnaire and the scale survey were completed, the questionnaire was collected on the spot.T he questionnaires and the data collected by the scale were used to screen the influe ncing factors by single factor analysis, and the indicators with P<0.05 in the single factor analysis were included.Binomial logistic regression analysis finally determined the influencing factors of elderly patients who were afraid of fal ing.Result:(1)A total of 500 hospitalized elderly patients were investigated in this study.T he incidence of fear of falls was 361/500=72.20%.Among them, the elderly who ha d a history of falls feared that the incidence of falls was 128/500=25.60%.There w as no history of fal s.The incidence of fal s in the elderly is 233/500 = 46.60%.(2)Qualitative research results show that patients are afraid of being isolated afte r falling;they are afraid to walk with crutches after falling;fear of not saving them selves after fal ing is a factor that affects patients' fear of fal ing.(3)Univariate analysis showed: age, gender, education level, marital status, gait, mood, squatting, exercise, sleep, activity, vision, participation in activities, preventionknowledge, need for crutches, indoor lighting, floor slip,Physical strength, current health status, drinking, number of previous falls, and medications were statistically di fferent(P<0.05).(4)Multivariate analysis showed: gender(OR=0.007,P=0.001,95%CI=0.001-0.043),age range 70-80 years(OR=0.088,P=0.001,95%CI=0.022~0.361)And 80 to 90 years old(OR=0.156,P=0.001,95%CI=0.052~0.467),marital status(OR=2.763,P=0.045,95%CI=1.021~4.479),mood(OR=0.291,P=0.007,95%CI=0.119~0.710),participated in physical exercise(OR=189.832,P=0.036,95%CI=1.410~1.423),indoor lighting(OR=0.070,P=0.040,95%CI=0.006~0.891),gait(OR=404.600,P=0.023,95%CI=0.006~0.049),number of falls(OR=7.247,P=0.001,95%CI=1.269~41.332)with statistical difference, these 8 items factors into the binary logistic regress ion equation.Conclusion:(1)Elderly patients hospitalized are afraid of a high incidence of falls, and nee d to analyze the factors affecting the patient's FOF.(2)Among the eight influencing factors that enter the binary logistic regression equation, gait is the most influential factor affecting the elderly's FOF,and it is nec essary to focus on the influence of gait on fear of fal ing.(3)Focus on gender, age, marital status, mood, participation in physical exercise, indoor lighting, and the number of falls. These factors affecting fear of falling are also effective ways to prevent older people from faling.
