Objective:To observe the intervention effect of compound Taxus chinensis capsule on progression-free survival in patients with advanced lung squamous cell carcinoma(Qi-deficiency phlegm-stasis syndrome). Methods:Sixty patients with advanced lung squamous cell carcinoma(syndrome of qi deficiency and phlegm and blood stasis)were divided into treatment group and control group. The treatment group was treated with compound Taxus chinensis capsule,2 tablets at a time,3 times a day,21 days a cycle, and the control group was treated according to the clinical symptoms, and the progress of the disease was studied. The clinical effect was evaluated by observing the symptom score of(PFS),and evaluating the clinical effect by observing the symptom score of TCM without progress.Results:(1)The longest PFS,the shortest PFS and the median PFS in the(PFS): Taxus capsule maintenance group were 9 months,2.4 months and 6.0 months, respectively. The longest PFS was 7 months, the shortest PFS was 1.5 months, and the median PFS was 3.5months in the control group. The survival curve of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).(2)Syndrome score: the improvement of symptoms in the treatment group was 50.0%,and that in the control group was 16.7%.The improvement of fatigue, anorexia and constipation was more obvious, and the difference was statistically significant.(P<0.05).(3)Karschner score: 26 cases(86.7%)had no decrease in physical condition in the treatment group and 18 cases(60%)in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)Adverse reactions: 1 case of nausea in the treatment group was relieved after oral administration of metoclopramine tablets 10 mg without recurrence. Conclusions: Compound taxus capsule maintenance treatment of of patients with stage III/IV lung adenocarcinoma(qi deficiency and phlegm stasis syndrome)can prolong the progression-free survival time, improve the quality of life, and the security is good,no obvious toxicity was observed.
