Evaluation Of Sexual Function And Quality Of Life In Women Treated By TVTO For Stress Urinary Incontinence

Objective: To evaluate the effect of TVTO on sexual life and social quality of female stress urinary incontinence,and to evaluate the adjuvant effect of estriol ointment(ovestin)on surgery.Methods: 103 patients who underwent TVTO from December 2012 to December 2017 and completed follow-up were selected to compare the changes of sexual quality and social psychology before and after operation.The pelvic organ prolapse/urinary incontinence sexual function questionnaire(PISQ-12)was used to evaluate the quality of sexual life,and the urinary incontinence impact questionnaire(IIQ-7)was used to evaluate the quality of daily life and interpersonal relationships of patients.Results: Among 103 patients,11 had no sexual life after operation.Postoperative IIQ-7 score(0.96+2.673)was lower than preoperative(18.58+2.972).Postoperative total PISQ-12 score was higher than preoperative.Postoperative physiological factor score(18.77+1.707)was higher than preoperative(15.44+4.329).The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference between emotional factor and sexual partner factor(P > 0.05).The total score of sexual quality of life decreased slightly within 6 months after operation,but there was no significant difference(P > 0.05).The total score increased 1 to 2 years after operation [(36.66 + 3.848)vs(27.52 + 7.003)],especially in physiological factors,the difference was significant(P < 0.05).Postoperative sexual quality of life scores were improved in both menopausal and non-menopausal groups,with statistical significance.There was no significant difference in the improvement of sexual quality between ovestin group and non-ovestin group(P > 0.05).Conclusion: The quality of life and social emotions after TVTO are significantly improved.The possibility of sexual dysfunction exists within 3 months to 6 months after TVTO.The sexual quality can be improved gradually from 6 months to 1 year after TVTO,and it can be stable after 1 year.The use of ovestin did not significantly improve the quality of sexual life after surgery.
