Objective:To study the incidence of diabetes mellitus and blood glucose control in patients with lower reproductive tract infection in middle and late pregnancy and to explore the risk factors of lower reproductive tract infection in pregnant women. Methods:The subjects of the study were pregnant women admitted to shengjing hospital affiliated to China medical university on January 1,2016 to September 30,2016.The study included 316 pregnant women who had vaginal secretion tests during hospitalization and who had blood glucose tests during pregnancy. The gestational weeks were 24-37 weeks, and the pregnant women were 20-49 years old.According to the test results of vaginal secretions, the patients were divided into two groups, including 64 patients diagnosed with lower genital tract infection(case group)and 252 patients diagnosed with non-lower genital tract infection(control group). The difference in incidence of diabetes and blood glucose control between the two groups was analyzed.Because the age of pregnant women obviously affects the incidence of diabetes,in order to avoid the interference of age factors, pregnant women are divided into three layers according to age: 20~29 years old,30~39 years old,and 40~49 years old.The differences in the incidence of diabetes and blood glucose control between pregnant women with lower reproductive tract infection and non-infected pregnant women at different ages were compared. Results: When age was not taken into account, the incidence of diabetes mellitus in pregnant women in the case group(53.1%)was slightly higher than that in the control group(42.1%),but the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(2=2.531,P=0.112).After the age stratification, the incidence of diabetes in the case group(50.0%)was significantly higher than that in the control group(29.7%)among pregnant women aged 20-29 years. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(2=5.563,P=0.018),OR=2.37(95% CI: 1.15-4.90).Among pregnant women aged 30-39 and 40-49,there was no significant difference in the incidence of diabetes between the two groups(P > 0.05).Among pregnant women aged 20-29 years, the incidence of diabetes patients with poor blood glucose control in the case group(80%)was significantly higher than that in the control group(47.4%),and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(2=5.752,P=0.016),OR=4.44(95% CI: 1.25-12.78).Conclusion: Gestational diabetes mellitus is a high risk factor for lower reproductive tract infection in pregnant women.Especially among young pregnant women aged 20 to 29 years, the risk of lower reproductive tract infection in pregnant women with diabetes is 2.37 times that of non-diabetic pregnant women, and the risk of lower reproductive tract infection in pregnant women with poor blood glucose control is 4.44 times that of pregnant women with good blood glucose control.
