Objective: Chronic rhinosinusitis(CRS),a common clinical condition in children,is complicated and often accompanied by adenoid hypertrophy, which may be the cause of each other. It has been previously thought that adenoidectomy can be used for conservative surgical treatment of chronic sinusitis in children with conservative treatment.Functional endoscopic sinus surgery(FESS)is used when adenoidectomy is not effective.Because the child is still in the growth stage,FESS needs to remove the bone part of the sinus and may cause unpredictable damage to the child's face and sinuses.Early application is not recommended. In recent years, balloon sinuplasty(BS)is considered to be a small damage, safe and effective treatment for CRS.This article will evaluate balloon sinuplasty through its recent clinical efficacy and safety in the treatment of children with CRS.Method: Retrospective analysis of children diagnosed with chronic rhinosinusitis with adenoid hypertrophy,62 children were divided into parallel BS group and single AD group according to different surgical procedures. In the parallel BS group, balloon sinuplasty and adenoidectomy were performed simultaneously, and in the single AD group, only adenoidectomy was performed. Both groups were treated with antibiotics, nasal glucocorticoids,mucus-promoting agents and nasal irrigation for more than 12 weeks. The visual analogue scale(VAS)score and the Lund-Kennedy endoscopic mucosal morphology score were recorded before and 15 days,1 month,3 months, and 6months after treatment.Day,1 month,3 months,6 months, the improvement of subjective symptoms, compare the clinical efficacy of the two groups. Results: 1.The average age, preoperative Lund-kennedy score and VAS score of the parallel BS group and the single AD group were compared,P>0.05,and the difference was not statistically significant.2.Lund-Kennedy score and VAS score of 15 days,1month,3 months and 6 months after operation were lower than preoperative, and the scores of the parallel BS group were lower than the single AD group(P<0.05).That is,both the parallel BS group and the single-row AD group were effective in improving nasal symptoms, and the effect in the parallel BS group was more significant;3.The improvement of postoperative symptoms, that is,the efficiency of the parallel group of BS,15 days,1 month,3 months,6 months were 88.10%,88.10%,95.24%,95.24%,respectively.In the single-line AD group,15 days,1 month,3 months, and 6months were 25.00%,65.00%,65.00%,and 75.00%,respectively.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),that is,the parallel sinus balloon dilatation can relieve the symptoms in a shorter time;4,Sinus balloon dilatation surgery, the amount of bleeding is small, and no postoperative periorbital hematoma, nasal mucosal adhesions and other adverse complications. Conclusions: Sinus balloon dilatation has the characteristics of small trauma, less bleeding, good effectiveness and high safety. The postoperative recovery of the child can make the subjective symptoms improve in a short period of time.In children with chronic nasal-sinus There is an advantage in the treatment of inflammation.
