Objective: To compare and evaluate different bonding gap,differnet porcelain transparency and different bonding color on the final color and aesthetic effect of full ceramic veneer.Materials and Methods: Porcelain laminate veneer models with different bonding gap(0mm,0.05 mm,0.15 mm,0.3mm,0.5mm)and different ceramic transparency(LT,HT)were accurately designed and fabricated by 3D technology.Four try-in paste(A1,A3,Bleach XL,Transparent)were used as composite adhesive.Final color of porcelain laminate veneer with different abutment colors(NA1-ND9)was measured by the spectrophotometer,expressed by CIE L*a*b*/CIE L*C*H system.The results were statistically analyzed by SPSS 19.0.Results:1.The chroma value difference of Transparent and Bleach XL try-in paste with LT and HT ceramic veneer in which the thickness of bonding gap was different had significant difference(P<0.05),the bonding gap had interaction with the ceramic transparency(P<0.05).2.The chroma value difference of four-group try-in pates with five-group bonding gap which the transparency of ceramic venner was different had no significant difference(P>0.05).3.The lightness value difference of A3 and Bleach XL try-in paste with LT and HT ceramic veneer in which the thickness of bonding gap was different had significant difference(P<0.05),the bonding gap had interaction with the ceramic transparency(P<0.05);the lightness value difference of four-kind try-in pates with five-group bonding gap which the transparency of ceramic venner was different had significant difference(P<0.05).4.In Bleach XL try-in paste,under the dark abutment(ND5-ND9),the color difference(ΔE)in 0.05 mm,0.15 mm,0.3mm,0.5mm all over 3.3NBS,increased with the thickness of bonding gap.Conclusion: 1.Ceramic veneer transparency,bonding gap,abutment color,try-in paste color all influenced the resultant color,lightness,chorma of IPS E.Max Press ceramic veneer.2.Higher lightness value was expressed by the lower transparency IPS E.Max Press ceramic veneer.3.Chroma value would not changed by different transparency of the IPS E.Max Press ceramic veneer.4.Lightness value increased by the thicker bonding gap in Bleach XL and A3 try-in paste;Chroma value decreased by the thicker bonding gap in Bleach XL and Transparent try-in paste.5.Variolink N try-in paste in Bleach XL can achieve good opaque effect.
