Objective: To investigate the effects of Ho Pu San Wu Decoction on gastrointestinal motility disorder induced by L-arginine hydrochloride in rats,including gastrin,cholecystokinin,pancreatin secretion and gastrin receptor expression.Methods: In the first part,20 SD rats were taken,10 were black control group,and 10 were gastrointestinal motility disorder model group.The intestinal propulsion rate and plasma motilin content were measured to evaluate the success of the model.In the second part,30 SD rats of standard clean grade were selected,10 were black control group,10 were gastrointestinal motility disorder model group,10 were Ho Pu San Wu Decoction treatment group.The contents of gastric juice,total acidity and pepsin activity,biliopancreatic juice,trypsin and total bile acid,plasma gastrin,pancreatic stimulating hormone,cholecystokinin and the expression of gastrin protein in gastric antrum were measured to evaluate the digestive function of the three groups.Results: 1).Compared with the control group,the intestinal propulsion rate and motilin level in the L-Arg model group were significantly reduced.2).Compared with the control group,gastric juice volume,gastric juice acidity and pepsinase activity in the model group were significantly declined.Gastric juice acidity and pepsinase activity in the treatment group were significantly increased compared with the model group.3).Compared with the control group,the amount of bile and pancreatic juice and the activity of pancreatic amylase did not change significantly in the model group,but the total bile acid,total bilirubin and total cholesterol decreased significantly.Compared with the model group,the activity of pancreatic amylase,total bile acid,total bilirubin and total cholesterol increased significantly in the treatment group.4).Compared with the control group,the contents of GAS and CCK in the plasma of the model group decreased significantly,while the contents of SEC increased significantly.Compared with the model group,the contents of GAS and CCK in the plasma of the treated group increased significantly,but the contents of SEC did not change significantly.5).Compared with the control group,the expression of gastrin in the antrum of the model group was significantly reduced;compared with the model group,the expression of gastrin in the antrum of the treated group was significantly increased.Conclusions: 1).The model of gastrointestinal motility disorder can be successfully prepared by intraperitoneal injection of L-Arg.2).Ho Pu San Wu Decoction can promote the secretion of gastric juice,pepsin and amylase in rats with gastrointestinal motility disorder,and can increase the concentration of total bile acid,total bilirubin and total cholesterol,but has no significant effect on the amount of bile and pancreatic juice.3).Ho Pu San Wu Decoction can increase the levels of GAS and CK in plasma of rats with gastrointestinal motility disorder,but has no significant effect on SEC.4).Ho Pu San Wu Decoction can enhance the expression of gastrin in gastric antrum of rats with gastrointestinal motility disorder.
