Objective To investigate the present situation and etiology of pulmonary hypertension associated with respiratory diseases in the General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University in order to make one recognize of PH,early diagnose and improve the prognosis.Method All the inpatients with PH and chronic pulmonary heart disease or cor pulmonale diagnosed by clinical symptoms and echocardiography were included in the General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University from January2013 to December 2017.The clinical dates were collected and reviewed.Results There were 695 patients with PH was 5.31%(695/13081)in admitted patients of respiratory department during the same period.Compared the patients of PH with the other inpatients,the mortality were 3.02% to 1.16%;The leading cause of PH with respiratory diseases was COPD 58.71%,the second tuberculosis14.96%,then interstitial lung disease 8.35%,CTEPH 4.60%,thoracic deformity3.74%,OSAHS as well as bronchiectasis 3.17% respectively,lung cancer 2.01%and asthma 9 cases 1.29%;The incidence of patients with pulmonary hypertension showed a significant upward trend in recent two years.There were 411 males,accounting for 59.14% of the total PH;The degree of pulmonary hypertension inall patients was mild 28.35%,moderate 3.88%,severe 47.77%,moderate and severe accounted for 71.65% of the total PH.The age of patients was average 72,range from18-91 years old,and the common age was 71-80 years old,accounting for 44.46% of all PH patients.Conclusions Respiratory disease-related PH in our hospital generally demostrated an increasing trend.The male was more common.The most frequent of pulmonary artery pressure was the severe degree.The basic etiology of PH was COPD,then tuberculosis,interstitial pulmonary disease and CTEPH.The early identification and intervention of the primary disease may play an important role to improve the prognosis.
