As a new type of functional material,porous polymer microspheres have attracted attentions from researchers home and abroad.Due to their characteristics such as good sphericity,large specific surface area,low density,strong adsorption,high mechanical strength,porous polymer particles have been widely used in the fields of the biomedical,analytical chemistry,environmental protection,catalyst supports and electronics field,etc.Among them,porous poly(styrene-divinylbenzene)(PS-DVB)microspheres have not only the general characteristics of porous polymer microspheres but also the advantages of stable in property,lower production cost,wide industrial applications and high surface reaction capability,so they are the most widely used porous polymer particles at present.Based on this,we prepared porous PS-DVB microspheres and used them as high performance liquid chromatography packing,absorbent and catalyst support.First,monodisperse polystyrene(PS)microspheres were prepared by dispersion polymerization.The effect factors,including polarity of dispersion medium,amount of initiator and concentration of monomer were investigated in order to obtain the optimal preparation conditions.Then,PS-DVB microspheres were synthesized by seed swelling method.The influence of the molecular weight of PS seeds,amount of activating agent and the kinds of porogen were also investigated.The results of scanning electron microscope(SEM)and BET indicated that monodispersed,porous PS-DVB microspheres were successfully prepared.The PS-DVB microspheres could be used as HPLC packing to separate lysozyme,cytochrome C and bovine serum albumin.Second,PS-DVB microspheres were modified with 3-aminophenylboronic acid(3-APBA)and boronate affinity material PS-DVB-APBA was obtained.This material could be used to selectively separate and enrich cis-diol-containing compounds.The adsorption of inosine by PS-DVB-APBA and its influence factors were studied,including preparation pH of PS-DVB-APBA,pH of buffer solution,concentration of inosine,adsorption time and temperature.Under the optimal conditions,PS-DVB-APBA prepared under pH 11 showed a large adsorption capacity of 36.06 mg/g to inosine.The material also showed good adsorption performance for adenosine and mogroside V.It has the potential to be widely used in the separation and purification of nucleoside and mogroside V.Finally,PS-DVB microspheres were modified with 3-APBA,polyethyleneimine(PEI),ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid(EDTA)and diethylene triamine pentacetate acid(DTPA)respectively and then reacted with chloroplatinic acid to get a series of PS-DVB supported platinum catalysts.The results of Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy(XPS)and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy(AAS)showed that Pt had been successfully immobilized on the carriers.With the hydrosilylation of 1-octylene with methyldichlorosilane(DCMS)as the model reaction,the influence of the amount of Pt,reaction time,feeding order,molar ration and reaction temperature were studied,and stability of the catalysts were also investigated.What's more,these catalysts showed high catalytic activity for the hydrosilylation of 1-heptene,styrene,1-dodecene,1-tetradecene 1-hexadecylene with DCMS.
