Objective: To summarize the experiences of diagnosis and treatment and the preventive measures of the complications after the laparoscopic resection of choledochal cyst in children. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 97 patients diagnosed as choledochal cyst and treated by laparoscopic surgery in Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University from June 2014 to April 2019,and summarized the therapeutic experiences. Results: There were 28 boys an 69 girls, with an average age of 35.83±36.56 months(median age is 23.93 months),the average hospital stays were 17.05±5.33 days, the average diameter of choledochal cyst was 3.49±2.49 cm.75 symptomatic patients had one or more symptoms, including 12 cases of fever,51 cases of abdominal pain,18 cases of jaundice,3 cases of abdominal mass,44 cases of vomiting and 6 cases of acholic stools. The average operation time was 330.70±90.99 min,and two patient was transferred to open surgery. There were 8 patients got postoperative complications,7 of them got early complications, including 3 cases of bleeding,5 cases of biliary fistula. But one of them had bleeding and biliary fistula simultaneously. All the bleeding patients were cured by conservative treatment and those biliary fistula patients were cured by percutaneous interventional puncture and drainage. What's more,we got one long-term complication case, anastomotic stenosis, which was cured by reoperation. Conclusions: Common complications of laparoscopic resection of choledochal cyst include bleeding, biliary fistula, anastomotic stenosis and intestinal obstruction. The patient with a longer diameter of choledochal cyst and a more serious inflammation will often take longer operation time, and will be more likely to develop the postoperative complications. The skilled technique of laparoscopic surgery can help to reduce the incidence of postoperative complications.
