The heart is one of the important components of the cardiovascular system that powers the blood circulation. When the natural heart function is impaired, the blood of the vein can not normally pump out the heart that results in insufficient blood supplying to the arterial system and causes various cardiovascular diseases.Valvular heart disease is a common cardiovascular disease, such as aortic valve calcification, mitral regurgitation.Studying the cardiovascular hemodynamic changes of the valve in healthy and pathological conditions can provide guidance for predicting valvular heart disease. The end stage of most cardiovascular diseases will develop into heart failure, and the addition of a balloon in the aorta is one of the main treatments for heart failure. However, the biggest limitation of traditional balloon pump is that it can not actively assist the heart, the cardiac output is not increased much and the support is limited. Therefore, this paper proposes a new method to place the balloon in the ascending aorta and then add a valve to explore the auxiliary effect of the model on heart failure. In this paper, numerical studies were performed on the coupling of the balloon at the ascending aorta, the coupling of the balloon and the valve in the ascending aorta. The simulation results show that the ascending aorta coupled balloon and valve model can improve the left ventricular working ability and increase the stroke volume and ejection fraction in different grades of heart failure. This paper mainly involves the following aspects:1.Different modeling methods of heart and vascular system, basic physiological knowledge of cardiovascular circulation system and cardiac anatomy are introduced to model the blood circulation system. On the basis of the closed volume controllable orifice model proposed by the research group,a model of the peripheral blood circulation system which includes the left and right atrium, the left and right ventricles and four valves was established. The active contractility of the four chambers during the whole cardiac cycle were considered. The simulation results show that the hemodynamic parameters simulated under the physiological conditions of health, aortic valve calcification and heart failure at all levels are consistent with those in textbooks.2.A detailed vascular network model of the arm is established and coupled tothe model of the blood circulation system around the body.In the coupled model, the Cun,Guan and Chi parts of the Chinese medicine were respectively modeled.By changing the parameters(vascular compliance C,blood resistance R,blood inertia L)of each vascular segment in the model, the different physiological states of human body are simulated and the corresponding pulse images are obtained. On this basis, the pathological state of aortic valve calcification was simulated by changing the parameters of aortic valve model, and the Cun hemodynamic changes under the pathological state of aortic valve calcification were quantitatively predicted and analyzed to provide theoretical basis for the detection of valvular heart disease in traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis.3.A new model of balloon counterpulsation pump was established, and the traditional and new balloon counterpulsation pump models were simulated by using equivalent network method.Firstly, the model of ascending aorta coupled balloon pump and the model of ascending aorta coupled balloon pump were built on the basis of the model of systemic blood circulation system, and then the valve model was added.Secondly, the hemodynamic characteristics of different grades of heart failure were obtained by simulation. Then, the effects of traditional balloon pump and new balloon pump on the hemodynamics of heart vessels were simulated under different heart failure grades. Finally, the changes of hemodynamic characteristics at different locations under the two models were compared and analyzed. The simulation datas show that the ascending aorta coupled balloon pump with valves is more effective in the treatment of heart failure, and provides a more favorable auxiliary means for the treatment of heart failure.
