Objectives: Construct a three-dimensional visualization polycystic kidney model and print a three-dimensional solid polycystic kidney model.Using models to communicate clinical communication with doctors and patients,and explore effective ways to improve clinical teaching and doctor-patient communication satisfaction.Methods: 1.We recruited one patient with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease who was admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University,and performed thin-layer renal enhancement CT and MRI to collect image data.The digital model of polycystic kidney was obtained by three-dimensional reconstruction of images.The design of the polycystic kidney parenchyma was divided into two parts by surface segmentation to produce the three-dimensional printed model.After the production was completed,the six experts evaluated the three-dimensional visualization and three-dimensional printing model using a five-point Likert scale.2.We selected 80 interns to be randomly divided into two groups,namely,40 in three-dimensional visualization combined with three-dimensional printing group and 40 in three-dimensional visualization group.The clinical teaching was carried out by the same nephrologist respectively.After completing the teaching content,all the students immediately participated in the professional knowledge assessment and satisfaction questionnaire.The professional courses and questionnaires of the two groups of students were statistically analyzed to evaluate the teaching effectiveness of different models.3.We recruited 30 patients with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease who were newly diagnosed in outpatient and inpatient hospitals of Hebei University Hospital.They were randomly divided into a three-dimensional printing group of 15 and a traditional mapping group of 15 patients.Carry on the disease education for patients by the same physician.After completing the mission,we conducted a satisfaction survey on the patients,collected the survey results,and conducted statistical analysis and evaluation.Results: The three-dimensional solid polycystic kidney model was successfully printed using medical three-dimensional reconstruction software and three-dimensional printing technology.In the same amount of time,The difference in the results of comprehensive performance of the theoretical knowledge assessment between the three-dimensional visualization combined with the three-dimensional printing group and the three-dimensional visualization group was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the differences in renal anatomy and polycystic kidney structural characteristics were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were 80 questionnaires,and the effective recovery rate was 100%.Among the propaganda and education,there was a statistically significant difference between the three-dimensional print group and the traditional atlas group in the polycystic kidney structure and overall satisfaction(P<0.05).Conclusion: The three-dimensional solid model of polycystic kidney disease can be produced through three-dimensional reconstruction technology and three-dimensional printing technology.The three-dimensional solid model of polycystic kidney,three-dimensional visualization and three-dimensional printed kidney model,is applied to clinical teaching and doctor-patient communication,which may improve the satisfaction of clinical teaching and doctor-patient communication.
