Objective: To explore the relationship between symptoms of laryngopharyngeal discomfort and gastroesophageal disease related to reflux by analyzing the relationship between throat discomfort score index, esophageal pressure and 24 h pH impedance of gastroesophageal,to provide clinical reference for the diagnosis and treatment of throat discomfort. Methods: Patients with acid reflux, heartburn and/or poststernal burning sensation were selected who seeks medical advice in Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University from November 2017 to November 2018.Fill in the reflux symptom index(RSI).Perform High Resolution Manometry(HRM)(Main Outcome Measure: Pressure of upper esophageal sphincte(UESP),pressure of lower esophageal sphincter(LESP),distal contractile index(DCI)and distal latency(DL),and dynamic monitoring of 24 h pH impedance of gastroesophageal(Main Outcome Measure: DeMeester score, total acid reflux time within 24 hours, total acid reflux times within 24 hours, long reflux times within 24 hours, long reflux time within 24 hours)check. The selected samples were divided into A,B,C three groups, without symptoms of laryngopharyngeal discomfort group, referred to as group A Group B with symptoms of laryngopharyngeal discomfort and RSI score? 13,patients with symptoms of laryngopharyngeal discomfort were divided into 13 groups, referred to as group C.The results were analyzed by SPSS 21.0 software,p<0.05 has been considered statistically significant. The results of the study: 1.A total of 122 cases were involved in this study,of which 76 were with symptoms of laryngopharyngeal discomfort, accounting for 62.3% of all subjects studied. The main symptoms were summarized as eight groups: hoarseness or vocal disturbance, continuing to hawk, much sputumor and nasal discharge flow back, have obstruction for swallowing water, food,or drugs, the cough related to position or diet, breathing disorders or recurrent attacks of asphyxia, persistent cough, annoying cough, foreign body sensation in pharynx.Their respective proportions are: 11.8%,69.7%,59.2%,23.7%,51.3%,84.2%,10.5%.2.By comparing group A,B and C,we found that there have no significant difference in age, sex,UESP,LESP,DCI and DL(P > 0.05).3.Compared with group A and B,the total number of acid reflux within 24 hours in group B was significantly higher than group A,statistical comparison have statistically significant(P < 0.05);Statistical comparison have no significant difference in DeMeester score, total acid reflux time within 24 hours, total acid reflux times within 24 hours, long reflux times within 24 hours, long reflux time within 24 hours(P > 0.05)between A and B groups.4.Compared with group A and C,the DeMeester score, total acid reflux time within 24 hours, total acid reflux times within 24 hours, long reflux time within 24 hours in group B were significantly higher than that in group A,there are statistical differences(P < 0.05).5.Compared with group B and C,statistical comparison have no significant difference in DeMeester score, total acid reflux time within 24 hours, total acid reflux times within 24 hours, long reflux time within 24 hours(P > 0.05).conclusion:1.Of all the subjects of studied, the proportion is 62.3% in patients with symptoms of laryngopharyngeal discomfort.Continuing to hawk, much sputumor and nasal discharge flow back, the cough related to position or diet, foreign body sensation in pharynx relative to other parts, the incidence rate is much higher.2.The elevated acid reflux of gastroesophageal disease related to reflux may be responsible to cause symptoms of laryngopharyngeal discomfort, especially LRP.The effect of acid reflux on severity of patients with symptoms of laryngopharyngeal discomfort have been unclear.3.Whether the abnormal esophageal body motility is the mechanism of gastroesophageal disease related to reflux causing laryngopharyngeal discomfort remains to be further studied.
