Objective: To study the diagnostic value of IL-30 and IL-35 in tuberculous pleural effusion.METHODS: Patients with unexplained pleural effusion admitted to relevant departments of Qinghai University Affiliated Hospital from December 2017 to December 2018 were selected. We collected the pleural effusion specimens by using standard thoracentesis from these patients, within 24 hours of hospitalization and before treatment,to detect routine pleural lactic dehydrogenase, albumin, adenosine deaminase, cell count and exfoliative cytology. At the same time,10 ml of pleural effusion was taken to be frozen after centrifugation.According to the exclusion criteria and the inclusion criteria,31 patients with tuberculous pleural effusion and 27 patients with malignant pleural effusion were enrolled. The concentrations of IL-30 and IL-35 in pleural effusion were detected by human IL-30 and IL-35 ELISA kits. Results: 1.There were no significant differences of IL-30 concentration between tuberculous pleural effusion and malignant pleural effusion [84.806(72.394,160.009)pg/ml vs.101.556(84.090,133.108)pg/ml,(P >0.05)];2.There were no significant differences of IL-35 concentration between tuberculous pleural effusion and malignant pleural effusion [15.261(12.587,22.169)pg/ml vs.14.503(12.612,19.063)pg/ml,(P >0.05)].Conclusion: There were no obvious differences of IL-30 and IL-35 concentrations between tuberculous pleural effusion and malignant pleural effusion. The diagnostic values of IL-30 and IL-35 in TPE may be small.
