Objective To study the relationship between serum thyroid hormones?T3?T4?FT3?FT4??thyroid stimulating hormone?TSH?and clinical dates of the patients with hepatitis B related cirrhosis, including gender,age,HBV-DNA and biochemical and Coagulation indicators?ALT,AST,TBIL,ALB,PT?.Methods A total of 121 inpatients attending the Infectious Department of General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University with the diagnosis of hepatic cirrhosis due to hepatitis B during June 2014 to December 2018 were included in our study as the observation group.Meanwhile 30 healthy persons were selected as the control group during the same time. The observation group was divided into group A?52 cases?,group B?39 cases?and group C?30 cases?according to Child-Pugh classification.General data of the observation group were collected:sex, age, thyroid hormone?T3,T4,FT3,FT4,TSH?,prothrombin time?PT?,biochemical index?ALT,AST,TBIL,ALB?,hepatitis B virus load?HBV-DNA?,abdominal color Doppler ultrasound or abdominal CT.The clinical dates were collected and reviewed.Result 1.Serum T3?FT3 were lower and the serum T4 was higher in the observation group than the control group, the difference was statistically significant?P<0.05?.2.Group A,group B,group C and the control group were compared between groups, the levels of serum T3 was lower in comparison with group B and the control group, group C and the control group, group B and group A,group C and group A,respectively, and the difference was statistically significant?P<0.05?;the levels of serum T4 was lower in group C than control group, but higher in group C than A,the difference was statistically significant?P<0.05?.The levels of serum FT3 was lower in comparison with group B and the control group, group C and the control group, group B and group A,group C and group A,the difference was statistically significant?P<0.05?.TSH was higher in group A than in control group?P<0.05?.3.The serum T3 levels was negatively correlated with TBIL?PT,and positively correlated with ALB.The serum T4levels was negatively correlated with PT,and positively correlated with ALT?AST?ALB.The serum FT3 levels was negatively correlated with AST?TBIL?PT,and positively correlated with ALB.The serum FT4 levels was negatively correlated with PT,and positively correlated with ALB.The serum TSH was negatively correlated with TBIL?PT,and positively correlated with ALB.Conclusion 1.The levels of serum T3 and FT3 in patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis are significantly lower than those in normal people.Decreased serum T3 and FT3 level in hepatitis B related cirrhosis by severity of liver damage. The serum T4 level increased while mild liver damage in patients witih hepatitis B cirrhosis, and decreased while severe liver damage in those.2.Serum T3 and FT3in patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis may be helpful to assessment of liver damage.
