Efficacy Analysis Of Esophageal Stent Implantation For Advanced Esophageal Cancer

ObjectiveTo analyze the efficacy and safety of esophageal stent implantation in the treatment of patients with advanced esophageal cancerMethodsRetrospective analysis of 169 patients with advanced?T₄N_XM₀?esophageal cancerduring 2011.01-2016.12 in Ningxia Medical university,according to different treatment methods was divided into group A:119 cases of esophageal stent implantation,and group B:50 cases were made surgery.The data of the patients were collected as follows:1General data of the two groups?age,sex,tumor location,pathological type,length of lesion?,dysphagia before treatment,KPS score of survival quality,hospitalization time,treatment cost;2 The dysphagia grading,the quality of life KPS score after treatment were followed up for 3months and the 2-year survival situation.3 The type and time of complication occurred in group A patients within 2 years after treatment.Data comparison between the two groups was performed by t test or?2 test.Survival analysis using Kaplan-Meier survival curve description,The postoperative complication of patients in group A was expressed by the number of cases and the percentage.Results1.General information and pre-treatment conditions:There was no differences of age,gender,the scale of pre-treatment dysphagia,the quality of life,tumor location,the type of pathological,clinical stage,the length of lesion between 2 groups.2.Short-term efficacy after treatment:The efficacy of dysphagia,Groups A was superior to group B,A/B??2=87.009,P<0.001?;The KPS score,Groups A was superior to group B,A/B?84.03±5.722 VS 77.20±6.074,P<0.001?.3.The other outcome:?1?Average hospital stay:The A group is shortor than the B group.A/B?4.38±3.496 VS 28.66±10.394,P<0.001?;?2?Average treatment cost:The A group is lower than the B group.?10982.3±4404.12 VS91630.8±22605.39,P<0.001?.4.Long-term efficacy after treatment:the status of Survival after2 year was no differences between group A and group B.5.In this study,the most common three complications of advanced esophageal cancer after stent implantation include:chest pain,restenosis,returning,nausea and vomiting;the complications after implantation happened in the early stage include:chest pain,back eating,nausea and vomiting,fever,hemorrhage of digestive tract,hemoptysis,dyspnea.the complications happened later include:stent displacement and restenosis.ConclusionEsophageal stenting is effective in the treatment of advanced esophageal cancer,It has a short time of hospital stay and low treatment costs.However,the incidence of postoperative complications is high,We should pay attention to prevent and treat it.
