Objective: To observe the therapeutic effects of applying topical steroid glucocorticoid nasal spray and leukotriene receptor antagonist in children with moderate-severe OSAHS after operation. To observe the recovery of emotional disorders, attention and executive ability impairment in children with OSAHS in the meantime. To understand the relationship between the drug options and prognosis, with a view to provide a reference for the choice of treatment options for children with moderate and severe OSAHS.Methods: Totally 90 children with moderate-severe OSAHS diagnosed and treated in our hospital from May 2016 to October 2017 were selected as study objects. The patients were randomly divided into 3 groups according to admission order, with 30 cases in each group.Their general information was recorded after the perioperative treatment due to the instruction of guidelines. The patients in budesonide group were treated with budesonide nasal spray, while the patients in montelukast sodium group were administered with chewable tablets and the patients in the combination group were treated with both drugs. The follow-up observation lasts 6 months. The therapeutic effects of children were then evaluated by sleep respiration monitoring and OSA-18 scale both before and after the treatment.Comparing the difference,P< 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: After treatment, whereas AHI in combination group was lower than that before treatment and in the single-drug group at the same period(P < 0.05),LSaO2 in combination group was observed to be higher(P < 0.05).AHI and LSaO2 in budesonide group and montelukast sodium group indicated no significant difference(P > 0.05).Each score of sleep disorders, physical symptoms, emotional condition, daytime functional status of the children in all three treatment groups and the impact to their guardians as well as the total score was reduced due to the treatment. The scores of emotional condition and daytime functional status as well as the total score in the combination group were lower than that in the single-drug groups;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The combination group showed no significant difference in sleep disorders and physical symptoms compared with the montelukast sodium group. There was no significant difference in the impact to guardian between the combination group and budesonide group(P > 0.05).Conclusion: The combinational therapy of postoperative steroid glucocorticoid nasal spray and leukotriene receptor antagonist in children with moderate-severe OSAHSdemonstrates better therapeutic effects to improve the clinical symptoms, emotional disorders, and impairment of attention and executive ability than single-drug treatments.
