Reading fluency requires individuals to not only ensure the accuracy of decoding and appropriate reading speed when reading aloud,but also to assign attention to reading comprehension,which is an important guarantee for the automatic process of word decoding and sentence integration in a short time.It is also the basis for skilled reading.Some studies have shown that reading fluency is an important link between reading words decoding ability and reading text comprehension ability.However,in domestic clinical research,on the one hand,related research carried out late,on the other hand,there is a lack of corresponding detection screening methods,which causes the screening of dyslexia often only focuses on the accuracy test of word decoding and ignores the test of reading fluency.This will result in the omission of children with good decoding ability but poor reading fluency.On the basis of summarizing and analyzing the previous studies,this study used Raven's reasoning test,primary school literacy test,and reading fluency test.a reading fluency reference standard was established among 1,450 children in 3 primary schools in Jing'an District,Shanghai.And 1-2 standard deviations were used to screen reading fluency disability;Based on previous research and self-testing,this study explores the characteristics of visual processing,rapid naming,and syntactic awareness of chinese children with reading fluency deficit,and draws the following conclusions:(1)The incidence of children with reading fluency deficit is 1.86%,accounting for 42.8% of children with dyslexia.And there are gender differences in the group,the male to female ratio is 20:7(2)The reading fluency disability performed slower in terms of time domain processing speed than ordinary children.The speed of visual processing is obviously slower than that of ordinary children,indicating that they have defects in visual processing speed,which is more obvious after the intervention of Chinese glyphs.(3)In terms of rapid naming processing,they are obviously slower than ordinary children,indicating that they have rapid naming defects,and there are certain obstacles in the rapid and effective extraction of voice information.(4)Chinese children with reading fluency deficit have syntactic awareness defects.The reading fluency disability's syntactic awareness is better than that of children with decoding ability defects.This may hinder the transmission of information to high-level cognition due to the defect of decoding.
