Artificial pancreas system(APS)is a kind of wearable and miniaturized bionics instruments,which is composed of continuous glucose monitoring system(CGM),insulin infusion system(IIS)and close-loop control algorithm,and it is a kind of potential technology treatment for diabetes.But the clinical trial data and the results reveal that artificial pancreas is not yet mature and with many technical challenges to overcome,one of the most critical problem is the close-loop control algorithm's ability to treat the unknown fluctuation in blood glucose when people have meals,sports and emotional behaviors.Many research institutions are devoted to develop the close-loop control algorithm,and a series of achievements has reached.Firstly,the significance and status of research on APS were expound in this paper,and then the importance of close-loop algorithm in the APS is studied.Secondly,in order to deal with the problems in the blood glucose managements with the Model prediction control(MPC)algorithm,especially the postprandial hypoglycemia accidents during the management,the velocity-weight MPC was studied and the effectiveness was verified in the T1 DM Simulator.Thirdly,the experimental system of APS was constructed by the high-precision plunger pump,subcutaneous implantable glucose sensor,point-to-point glucometer,and a set of automatic control software,this experimental system can be used to study the close-loop control algorithm as well as other excellent hardware to improve the APS,in addition,the experimental APS was used to do the diabetic animal experiments to verify the velocity-weight MPC.Finally,the physiological microcirculation model was studied and was built into the velocity-weight MPC because the algorithm's vacant handling in the relationship between the glucose concentration in interstitial fluid and blood,so the theoretical analysis of the physical model and the code were written into Matlab as the preliminary work.
