Objective:In order to understand the characteristics of carbon monoxide poisoning in Handan City,402 cases of carbon monoxide poisoning in Emergency Department of our Hospital,affiliated Hospital of Hebei University of Engineering from 2014.02 to 2016.01 were statistically analyzed.In order to grasp the incidence law of carbon monoxide poisoning,to raise the awareness of carbon monoxide poisoning,to popularize its common sense and to put forward practical preventive measures and treatment programs.In order to reduce the incidence of CO poisoning,and reduce the possibility of delayed encephalopathy.Methods:The clinical data of patients with carbon monoxide poisoning were retrospectively analyzed from February 2014 to January 2016.The sex,age,occupation,education,causes and month distribution of the poisoning were analyzed.The result data were analyzed.Results:There were more women than men among 402 patients with carbon monoxide poisoning,(61.7%for female,38.3%for male,Male:female for 1:1.6).The age of poisoning patients was concentrated in 6180 years old(171 cases,for 42.54%),The first age group was 61-70 years old(21.64%),the second was 71-80 years old(20.94%).The occupation distribution was highest among the peasants(63.93%),much higher than that of the retired people(8.71%)、School students and migrant workers(each for6.72%).The educational level of the patients with carbon monoxide poisoning was concentrated in the primary and below levels,accounting for 53.73%,followed by the junior high school education level,accounting for 29.10%.Of the 333 persons with a junior high school education or below and 69 with a junior high school degree or above,the difference was statistically significant in the analysis of the causes of poisoning(P<0.05).Among the 402 patients with CO poisoning,the cause of poisoning was coal heating in the first place,account for 84.83%.Among them,CO poisoning mainly occurred in January,February and December,which accounted for 74.2%of the total number of patients who were poisoned by heating,compared with 88 cases in the other month(27.9%),and the difference was statistically significant(?(17)=24.287,P<0.05).Among the patients with CO poisoning caused by heating,246 cases were found by farmers and 95 cases by other works.The difference was significant(P<0.05).The incidence of carbon monoxide poisoning in winter(December,January,February)was higher(279 cases),accounting for 69.40%of the total number of poisoning cases due to heating.The incidence rate of carbon monoxide poisoning was the highest in February(26.62%).Among 402 patients with acute carbon monoxide poisoning,270patients(67.16%)were cured or improved,47 cases(11.69%)died and 85 cases(21.15%)had delayed encephalopathy.Among them,the prognosis of patients over 60years of age was statistically significant compared with the prognosis of patients aged60 and below(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.The incidence of carbon monoxide poisoning in Handan area is relatively high,and the patients with carbon monoxide poisoning are ranked eighth in the order of disease in our hospital,which is related to the coal burning heating as the main way of heating in Handan rural areas.2.The characteristics of carbon monoxide poisoning were as follows:the incidence of carbon monoxide poisoning was high in female population,the ratio of male to female was 1:1.6.The average age was(55.79±21.01)years old,mainly between 6180 years old,accounting for 42.54%.Among the patients,farmers were the most,accounting for63.93%,and the main causes were poisoning caused by improper heating of coal,accounting for 84.83%.There are significant seasonal distribution characteristics of the disease,mainly in winter.3.In patients with CO poisoning,the degree of culture is often lower.333 cases(82.84%)with Junior secondary education and below,69 students(17.16%)were educated above junior high school,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Among the patients with CO poisoning caused by heating,246 cases(72.1%)were found by farmers and 95 cases(27.9%)by other occupations.The difference was significant(P<0.05).5.After the treatment of carbon monoxide poisoning in this study,67.16%patients were cured,but 21.15%of the patients were still suffering from delayed encephalopathy.The prognosis of patients over 60 years of age was worse than that of patients under 60years old,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).6.The early prevention methods of CO poisoning mainly include popularizing relevant scientific knowledge and correct use of coal burning tools,changing heating mode,installing CO alarm devices,perfecting the early warning system and monitoring system of CO poisoning.
