Objective:To investigate correlation between absolute iron deficiency and chronic heart failure with mid-range Ejection Fraction and preserved Ejection Fraction. Methods:This study included 84 patients with chronic heart failure who were hospitalized at Fourth Hospital of Changsha City from May 2018 to February 2019,and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria.According to the serum ferritin level,They were divided into absolute iron deficiency group(32 cases)and iron normal group(52cases).Comparison of two groups of age gender, heart, rate, blood pressure,comorbidities,hemoglobin,creatinine,low-density-lipoprotein,high-sensitivity,C-reactive protein, ferritin,New York Heart Association,LVEF and E/A were compared between the two groups.Compare the incidence of absolute iron deficiency between different cardiac function grades.Using the logistic regression analysis to explore the risk factors for absolute iron deficiency.Using the pearson correlation analysis to investigate the relationship between absolute iron deficiency and heart failure. After adjusting hemoglobin, analysing the independent correlation between absolute iron deficiency and heart failure.Results:1.There was no significant difference in age, heart rate, blood pressure, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, diabetes, low density cholesterol,CRP,LVEF and E/A between the absolute iron deficiency group and the normal group(P>0.05).There were significant differences in famale,New York Heart Association(NYHA)Functional Classification, combined anemia, hemoglobin,MCV,MCH,MCHC,creatinine, ferritin and BNP between the two groups(P < 0.05).And Stratification by NYHA functional class revealed that ID increased with higher NYHA class.2.Univariate analysis showed that female, anemia,NYHA,hemoglobin, creatinine,BNP,MCV,MCH,and MCHC were predictors of absolute iron deficiency.Multivariate analysis of women,NYHA classification, hemoglobin, creatinine, and BNP remained is an independent predictor of AID.3.Ferritin levels were negatively correlated with BNP,and had no significant correlation with LVEF and E/A.Using partial correlation analysis and corrected the hemoglobin, serum ferritin level independently negative correlated with the level of BNP.Conclusion : Absolute iron deficiency was negatively correlated with BNP levels in patients with heart failure mid-range Ejection and preserved Ejection Fraction, and was not associated with LVEF and E/A.
