Background and Objective:Periorbital aging is an inevitable,age-related and multi-factor natural process, which seriously affects the beauty of patients'faces and even mental health. At present, there are many ways to treat periorbital aging, among which electrooptical technology is particularly active. With the increasing expectation of the clinical effect of medical cosmetic surgery, patients required the better outcomes of the rejuvenation and lower side effects as much as possible. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore the clinical effect of transconjunctival lower eyelid blepharoplasty via radiofrequency and ultrapulse CO2 laser in the treatment of lower baggy eyelid with mild to moderate sagging skin and wrinkles.Methods:60 patients with lower baggy eyelid, mild to moderate sagging skin and wrinkles from March 2017 to June 2018 were selected to conduct the operation and divided into treatment group and control group according to whether using radiofrequency. The treatment group was conducted the laser blepharoplasty with radiofrequency, while the control group was conducted the laser blepharoplasty alone.Postoperative follow-up lasted for 6 months, both surgeon and patient recorded the satisfaction, wrinkle changes and other complications by questionnaire. Results:The percentages of surgeons'satisfaction in the treatment group was73%,and the patients'was 87%,which were both significantly higher than those in the control group.According to Fitzpatrick's and Lemperle's wrinkles classification, wrinkle improvements in the treatment group were significantly better than those in the control group at 1,3 and 6 months after the operation, and with increasing length of follow-up,wrinkles in the treatment group were still improving. One patient appeared bruise in the operative area, which disappeared by itself without treatment. No side effect?infection, eyelid retraction or eyelid depression?were observed. Conclusion:The combination of radiofrequency and CO2 laser transconjunctival blepharoplasty was shown to be effective and safe for the lower baggy eyelid with mild to moderate sagging skin and wrinkles. It is worth clinical promotion.
