Meta-analysis Of Doxorubicin-eluting Beads Transarterial Chemoembolization Versus Conventional Transarterial Chemoembolization For Treating Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Background and aims:The TACE is the first-line therapeutic regimen for the unresectable HCC.And we still can't make sure if the DEB-TACE is better than cTACE.This study is intended to compare the tumor response and the OS.Methods:Systematic literature search of clinical studies was carried out to compare the DEB-TACE with the cTACE in Pubmed,Embase and the Cochrane Library Central databases.The statistical analysis was performed Through RevMan5.3 to get comparision of two treatments in outcomes of CR,PR,DS,OR,DC,half-year OS,one-year OS.Results:There were 7 articles screened out finally.And 761 patients were included in the study.The outcomes of the meta-analysis showed that,the DEB-TACE got superior results in CR,OR and DC.But there was no significant statistical difference about PR,SD,half-year OS and one-year OS.Conclusion:The DEB-TACE showed a better tumor response and a higher rate of tumor control than the cTACE.But it can't improve the half-year and one-year OS.
