Objective:To systematically review the efficacy of pulmonary vein isolation with focal impulse and rotor modulation to non-paroxymal atrial fibrillation.Method:A systematic search of the PubMed,EMBASE,Cochrane Library,VIP,CNKI,WanFang Data was performed during January 2012 to January 2019.Studies assessing pulmonary vein isolation with focal impulse and rotor modulation to non-paroxymal atrial fibrillation were included. There are two reviewers screened literature independently, and extracted data. They also assessed the methodological quality of included studies. Then meta-analysis was performed by STATA 11 software.Result:We included 10 studies with a total of 467 patients(343Persistent atrial fibrillation and 124 Long persistent atrial fibrillation).Pooled freedom from atrial fibrillation was 55.6%[95%confidence interval41.8–69.4%]at a mean follow-up period of 12.9±6 months for non-paroxymal atrial fibrillation. There was a marked heterogeneity between studies(I~2=91.2%).The mean complication rate of rotor ablation among the reported studies was 3.4%.Conclusion:There are wide variability in success rate between these studies. We need randomized controlled trial to comfirm it's efficacy.
