Objective: Although the diagnosis and treatment of Pulmonary hypertension(PH)have improved in the past decade in China, the real world status and management of PH in Chongqing is unknown. This study aimed to investigate the clinical characters, socioeconomic and nutrition conditions, treatment and prognosis of PH in Chongqing. Methods: From August 1st 2015 to January 31 st 2018,patients admitted in the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University were enrolled.PH was screened by echocardiography, the diagnosis was confirmed by right heart catheterization(RHC).Results: Overall 500 subjects(male 155,31.00%)were screened by echocardiogram.Only 191 patients(38.20%)were performed RHC and126(25.20%)patients were confirmed PH.The most common etiology of PH was congenital heart disease(CHD)(30,23.81%).Forty-seven percent patients had socioeconomic difficulties and 60.70% patients were at nutrition risk.Meanwhile, less than half of the PH patients have receivedpulmonary vasodilator treatments(60,47.62%).The one year and two years survival rates were 87.90% and 84.00%.Cox proportional hazards regression indicated that age(OR: 8.23,95% CI: 2.35-29.49;P=0.001)and pulmonary vasodilator treatments(OR: 0.28,95% CI: 0.10-0.77;P=0.013)was related to mortality. Conclusion: The main etiologies of PH in Chongqing were CHD.Socioeconomic, nutritional status was generally poor.Meanwhile,a few patients accepted the pulmonary vasodilator treatments, and survival rates were low.Furthermore, age and pulmonary vasodilator treatments were associated with mortality.
