Objective: To study the pharyngeal reflux in patients with cholecystolithiasis, analyze the correlation between cholecystolithiasis and pharyngeal reflux disease, and explore the role of cholecystolithiasis in the pathogenesis of pharyngeal reflux. Methods : From November 2017 to February 2018,50 patients with gallstone diagnosed in Department of Gastroenterology and outpatient Department of the first affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Science and Technology were selected as observation group. In addition,20 volunteers(20 cases)who underwent health checkup at the same time were selected as the control group. All the patients in the observation group filled in the Cholecystolithiasis and throat reflux symptom Index scale, and the two groups were taken from the morning of fasting deep cough spit saliva 1 ml 3 ml,the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to detect the concentration of pepsin in saliva. Results : There were 28 males and 22 females with an average age of(54.04±11.40)years,ranging from 26 to 77 years old.In the control group, there were 13 males and 7 females with an average age of(46.40 ±10.50)years old(28~63 years old). There was no significant difference in general data such as age and sex between the two groups. The concentration of pepsin in saliva of observation group was 132.86 ±24.49 ng /ml,and that of control group was 114.62 ±19.44ng/ml.there was significant difference between the two groups(t=2.972,P=0.004<0.05).There was a weak positive correlation between the concentration of pepsin in saliva and the onset of biliary colic(?=0.293,P=0.039<0.05),but no significant correlation was found between pepsin concentration in saliva and other symptoms of cholecystolithiasis, such as upper abdominal pain and dyspepsia(P>0.05).There was no significant correlation between the score of throat reflux symptom and the score of cholecystolithiasis(P>0.05).Conclusions:(1)Laryngopharyngeal reflux in patients with cholecystolithiasis is significantly higher than that in healthy subjects;(2)Patients with acute biliary colic are more likely to have pharyngeal reflux;(3)There was no significant correlation between the severity of throat reflux symptoms and the severity of gallstone symptoms.
