Clinical Value Of LncRNA-w01880 In Gastric Cancer

Background Gastric cancer(GC)is one of primary public health disease and it is positioned as the second cause of death associated cancer around the world.In China,the fatality rate of GC is just beneath the lung cancer.As long as the high mortality is,the early diagnosis rate and the recurrence rate of postoperative patient still can not match the satisfaction.Patients suffered from progressive stage GC usually have gloomy prognosis.We already realize that gene damage could promote the progress of GC cell,but the pathogenic mechanism of GC is still blurry.A great many of lnc RNAs(long non-coding RNA)could influence the GC cells through regulating the expression of gene at transcriptional level and post-transcriptional level.Lnc RNA-w01880 identified by gene chip technology.The expression of lnc RNA-w01880 in gastric cancer issue is lower than 3.75 fold of adjacent normal tissue.Objective Our study is aim to detecting the expression of lnc RNA-w01880 in GC tissue cells and adjacent normal issue cells,to understanding the clinical value of lnc RNA-w01880 and to providing novel diagnostic biomarker and therapeutic target.Methods Using real-time quantitative PCR(RT-PCR)to detect the expression level of lnc RNA-w01880 in gastric cancer and normal tissue adjacent to the tumor.Analyzing the correlation between the expression level of lnc RNA-w01880 and clinicopathologic features(including age,gender,size of tumor,depth of invasion,degrees of differentiation,lymphatic metastasis,TNM stage classification).Make a more particular knowledge of the potential clinical application of lnc RNAw01880.Results 1.The expression level of lnc RNA-w01880 in gastric cancer tissue is dramatically lower than adjacent normal tissue(P<0.05).2.The expression level of lnc RNAw-01880 correlated with size of tumor,depth of invasion,lymphatic metastasis,TNM stage classification(P<0.05).There is no correlation between lnc RNA-w01880 expressed level and the age,gender,degrees of differentiation,serum level of CEA and CA199(P>0.05).Conclusions The result elucidate that in gastric cancer tissues the expression of lnc RNAw01880 is significantly down-regulated.Lnc RNA-w01880 may inhibit the progression of gastric cancer.According to these data,we infer that lnc RNA w01880 may has the potency to be a biomarker in early diagnosis and the novel therapeutic target of gastric cancer,it may also predict the lymphatic metastasis and the prognosis of gastric cancer.
