ObjectivesThe purpose of this study is to understand the role of HIV/AIDS follow-up compliance before HIV/AIDS test, and to put forward corresponding measures to improve HIV/AIDS(HIV infections/AIDS patients)follow-up compliance, and to promote the formal work model in the whole city.MethodsHIV/AIDS in Yangzhou between 2005-2015 were divided into"initiatively discovery group"(396 cases)and"passive discovery Group"(564 cases),according to whether to consulted or informed before HIV antibody test. The follow-up management indicators of these two groups were compared(5 indicators such as follow-up CD4 detection rate,spouses/fixed partners HIV antibody test rate, the rate of received HAART,the incidence of HIV infected persons, the mortality of HIV/AIDS).The use of Excel is to establish a database data entry information, using SPSS19.0 for data processing and analysis, measurement data using t test, count data usingc~2 test and multivariate logistic regression.Results1.Follow-up CD4 detection rate:the detection rate of active discovery group was higher than that of passive discovery group in different periods, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01 or P<0.05).The CD4 detection rate of cases that received HAART,AIDS patients and later discovered cases was higher than that of untreated,HIV infected persons and previously discovered cases.2.Spouses/fixed partners HIV antibody test rate:the test rate of active discovery group was higher than that of passive discovery group in different periods, but there was no significant difference in each period within one year(P>0.05),while there was significant difference in more than one year(P<0.01).The test rate of cases received HAART and later discovered was higher than that untreated and previously discovered cases. The interval between cases reported and firstly spouses/fixed partner tested in the active discovery group was longer than that in the passive discovery group, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).3.The rate of receive HAART:Within one year, the rate of receive HAART in active discovery group was lower than that in passive discovery group, and more than one year, the rate of receive HAART in active discovery group was higher than that of passive discovery group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).AIDS patients,non-urban areas, later discovered, older, married cases were likely to receive HAART than HIV infections, urban areas, previously discovered, young and non-married cases;Cases with"illiteracy"in active discovery group and"junior middle school"and"high school/secondary school"in passive discovery group were more likely to receive HAART than"non-illiterate"and other"literacy"in corresponding group. The interval between cases reported and received HAART in active discovery group was longer than that in passive discovery group(P<0.01).4.The incidence rate of HIV infected persons:within one year, the incidence rate of HIV infection in the active discovery group was lower than that in the passive discovery group, and more than one year, the incidence rate of HIV infection in the active discovery group was higher than that in the passive discovery group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01 or P<0.05).The incidence rate of HIV infected personers who received HAART was lower than that of untreated cases. The interval between cases reported and incidence in active discovery group was longer than that in passive discovery group(P<0.01).5.The mortality of HIV/AIDS:within one year, the mortality of the active discovery group was lower than that of the passive discovery group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01),but there was no significant difference between the active discovery group and the passive discovery group(P>0.05)over one year. The survival rate of cases who received HAART,later discovered, unmarried, young was high than that were untreated, previously discovered, married, older cases. The interval between cases reported and the death in active discovery group was longer than that in passive discovery group(P<0.01).ConclusionsThis study shows that the follow-up compliance of the patients before HIV antibody test is obviously better than that of non-counseling cases,so it is necessary to promote it in the future.
